I haven’t seen these three on the internet yet:
The ’45-O’s cert is nonsense:
The ’84-CC active with a TrueView:
And the ’89-CC also active with a TrueView:
Just a matter of time before we see these in droves…

Wow.... This is scary..... No doubt there will be people who get taken by some of these. Cheers, RickO
Thanks for the comment!
Where did you see them @burfle23 ? At a show? Getting scared to buy coins.

I wonder how much money is being lost by collectors buying these? Also, just think of how much money is being diverted from the purchase of real collector coins every time one of these is being sold.
The problem is "much" bigger then this! This is just low "very low" hanging fruit.

Are these being sold on ebay and or other online marketplaces?

And they still say "Morgan" on the label. Bizarre...
All of the internet selling venues; also in pawn shops and walking into coin shops...
I actually purchased these direct; I am trying to get images of all of their "varieties" to post in as many venues as I can showing these threats to the Hobby...
Yes, that is weird
Does the 89 CC have the tell tale markings that you wrote about in earlier post re fakes of this date? It pays to know your source when buying coins, and have someone who knows more than you look at them before purchase. Think of this as an insurance policy of sorts.
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."
Thanks for the work you do in the hobby. I am so glad that your hobby makes my hobby safer!
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
Fortunately they are not great numismatists...
Thank you for the work you are doing, providing valuable education on this subject and reminding us to not let our guard down.
Fortunately, most of the counterfeits are not perfect and there are still ways to differentiate. The trick is, how to educate without tipping off the counterfeiters.

My current Registry sets:
✓ Everyman Mint State Carson City Morgan Dollars (1878 – 1893)
✓ Everyman Mint State Lincoln Cents (1909 – 1958)
✓ Morgan Dollar GSA Hoard (1878 – 1891)
Double edge sword; I decided to err on the side of the Hobby...
I noticed the reverse of the 1845-O has common marks to the counterfeit 1875-CC half...
Does the near-field chip work ?
No; not present.
if i were fixing to spend 50k on a coin i believe i would perform a full spectralanalasyst of it
