No 1823s for me, but great coins in this thread 🌞

Nice coins ...
How about we mix it up a little and I show a dime?
.
Yeah ... but I have to show at least one Half too!

I wish I could play totally by the rules. I don't have an 1823 anything. I have an 1821 large cent, and an 1825 $2.50 gold and large cent. I've been looking for the 1823 cent, but the prices have been too high, or the coin had too many issues.
I didn't post because no half cents were made in 1823. I didn't know it was allowed to not be 23 on-the-nose.![o:) o:)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/innocent.png)
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
I was in the 200 yr plus crowd....alone. Oops.

@BillJones you can post that 1821 in any thread you like. I admire it every time you show it.
Ok, copper by the rules. Yes, both varieties are tough to find decent, but especially the N2, without the overdate. Mine aren’t great, but acceptable to me:
@BillJones Gorgeous 1821!! Super tough in that state of preservation. Your 1825 LC is a tougher coin in that date run as well... beautiful coins...

1823 25C (Estimated 31 known)
I unfortunately don't own this one, but couldn't leave it out. It went for 37K in 2006.
Here’s some 1823 copper for you 😄
Glad they shaved the reverse.
