A coin has come home after 35 years and I couldn't be happier

This type of blank is not easy to come by. I sold this one raw to a friend around 35 years ago. It was one of those things I have always wished I hadn't sold. We've all done it. I was able to buy it back today. It's happy to be home and I'm happy it's here.

nice.
Did you buy it back from your friend or did you get it back in the wild?

From my friend. He's had it all of this time.
Thanks Stephanie. I got it from the ANA Medal guy.
P. S. He brought you up today.

I like to be brought up in conversations......hopefully good ones
I hope both of you are doing well.

There's nothing but good that can be said about you. No doubt you are one of the nicest people on the board.
Congratulations, Mike. I have been looking for 3 Indian Cents I sold to pay Dr's bills 10 years ago and it broke my heart, I've never even seen any that closely resemble them and certainly not any of them. I'm glad you were reunited.

It's good to be home.
That nearly never happens, Mike. Congratulation on getting it back!

Are there any details on the reverse...or the obverse? ...whichever is featured on the other side of the slab.

Congratulations on getting back an old favorite. One of the main reasons I rarely sell any of my coins.... I don't want to endure regret....

Really neat piece and glad you have it again!

You and me both...but I have come to the realization that I need to start parting (very slowly!) with some of them to fund others!

Is it a coin if it’s just a planchet?
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
@ElKevvo... Parting is such sweet sorrow...
Just be careful and consider replacement possibilities and cost....Good luck, Cheers, RickO
awesome, congrats
Very interesting and glad it's back in your fold. Peace Roy

You are correct, it's technically not a coin. I considered not using it in the title, but did anyway. Good eye.
Heck, it's not even a planchet. It's still a blank. I'd consider getting this reholdered so that you can see how the lamination looks on the edge.
