Wexler (of Die Varieties) - Retiring
Was just looking at the website:
http://doubleddie.com/1801.html
On the home page it starts with:
"Thank you for visiting my on-line site! The most recent updates to this site were made on February 5, 2023.
Major Changes Coming: It is with a great deal of sadness that I must announce that effective on February 15, 2023 I will no longer accept packages of coins for attributions and I will officially be retired from the hobby. "
More information at the website home page.

Sorry to hear of his health issues, that is very unfortunate indeed. Didn't Wiles also stop adding things to VV last year?

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
COVID and Parkinson's - those are very tough adversaries (especially Parkinson's).
Fortunately he is still good mentally and has set up a "line of succession", so his work will go on,
even if he can't participate at the same level.
I hope someone continues to update this site in the the future someway, somehow.
This is always my go to site for double dies and varieties.
Thanks Wexler for your wealth of knowledge and in sharing it.

Wow! He has been such a great asset to the numismatic community.
Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
I think others working with him will step and keep the resource site available and growing.

Sad, he was and still is a giant in the hobby. Specifically, Lincoln cent doubled dies.
But age catches up with us all. Good luck to him in retirement and all the best in his fight against Parkinsons.

I read his message. Hope he copes the best he can with his condition.
Sad news. He is a great asset to the hobby. Cheers, RickO
I have used his site many times over the years. I wish him the best in retirement!
Sad to hear.........

Disclaimer: I'm not a dealer, trader, grader, investor or professional numismatist. I'm just a hobbyist. (To protect me but mostly you! 🤣 )
