Stumped the Panel - Grade Revealed - Genuine AU Details (98 - Damage)

Seems as if too much metal has been moved as determined by grader(s).
Some of you may remember this coin from a past post.
I just received grades on a recent submission in which the referenced coin was included. See how close you can get to the grade received!

AU55, hard to tell if that’s wear or strike though.
If it’s just a weak strike, maybe 63
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
AU50
Ya, I'm in the AU range also. These grades can be picky so not gonna guess the numerical side of it.

Is it possible PCGS stated Cleaned, AU details?

Appears AU Details from photo, definitely dipped, whether too much luster was removed hard to tell for sure from photo.
AU details.

45.
AU53.
AU55 is my initial thought but I'm still learning on Morgans. I know the "O" mint coins typically have soft strikes, lacking hair details above Liberty's ear, and lacking breast feathers on the eagle.

My opinion is the same as before, AU details, however, I grade strictly and it would not be the first time that a TPG would not agree with my grade.

AU details, jmo.
It looks a little shiny (cleaned).
Still pretty nice.
AU50 details.
AU-50 cleaned, likely does not have a details designation.

45, or possibly Cleaned - XF Details.
Was also thinking AU details cleaned, especially at NGC. Think of the original luster that would be present, the more details without luster the more likely that it gets a details grade.
I once had a really nice full set of Morgan Dollars, except for the 95 proof. The only coin that I was missing in original XF or better was the 95-O. To me, it was the most difficult coin to find in nice original condition.
Your coin is attractive, but I think it is graded AU Details, cleaned. When it comes to details coins, my view is that pcgs does not seem to care much about the underlying grade, so it is possible that it is XF details, cleaned.

XF. I cant tell from the picture for certain, but it would not surprise me if they detailed it as cleaned.

Most of the time if there is light wear, the area will show some light discoloration. Probably has been cleaned.
AU-50 Cleaned.. Nice, scarce coin regardless.

I would say it's a 50

If it straight graded, AU 50 tops. Pictures make it look lightly cleaned.
First thought was 55 but after looking closer, 53 seems more appropriate.

Au cleaned, or au53 straight. They might be generous.

AU deets... looks like I'm not the only one who's seeing that from these pics.
If it's not details graded and the coin looks different than images provided, consider getting better pics done?
I'm around AU50, possibly cleaned.
Bird has no breast feathers at all. 45, maybe 50.

My first impression was that it did not straight grade. I also learned from reading a previous post that this one is difficult to find in original condition, that being as it is, I still think it got a details grade for cleaning.

I would call it AU50.... Likely dipped.... cannot determine what luster may be there from the pictures. Cheers, RickO
I’m thinking AU 53 and even though it appears lightly cleaned, I’m guessing there may have been some generosity in this semi-key issue. Nice coin!

I’m going with cleaned. I see what appear to be hairlines.
I wonder when we will get the answer?

Cleaning did not occur to me until someone mentioned.
Did they fail to state details on the slab?
My shot in the dark was AU 55, too high.
Edit: typo
AU 50 details, cleaned. And inquiring minds want to know….
I’d call it AU details. If it weren’t a problem coin, I’d call it a weak AU50.
45 was my first impression
