I have a thing with colored coins. Maybe I’m just old fashioned and a purist in some ways.
I also have a distaste for heavily doctored photos.
If you like it though, that’s all that counts!

500 or less is not unusual for a lot of Mints. HOWEVER, that coin was not minted by the Canada Mint that way. It's an after market enhancement. The enhancement of an otherwise common Maple Leaf is what is limited to 500
FYI - the coin was minted by the RCM but the color was added by someone else. Although pretty in some eyes, it is just an altered silver coin.

While not a collector of colored coins, I do have a few. A couple my Mom gave me (she was not a collector, but thought they were really 'nice'), and a couple I think from the Canadian mint years ago. It's funny but instead of voting for the
"Outstanding" box. I really should of voted for the "Don't like colored coins except this one" box!
Really. I have never admired the colored coins. Esp. the Silver Eagles. They just look so generic and cheaply painted.
But my coin?
It caught my eye instantly. Far different than just that ordinary colored coin.
That Maple side almost looks toned instead of painted.
Also, that Leaf! All those intricate details. The veins in the Leaf, WOW!

I don't mind it, but as with all colored coins, I wouldn't pay a premium for it.
They stopped the mintage at 500 because they didn't receive more than 200 orders.

While not a style of coin that I would collect, the fact that you won it is outstanding and gives you something "different". Good deal!
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
