My profile picture. I find 20th century proofs really nice looking, especially with deep mirrors, some contrast and nice flow lines. The close-up obverse shot is probably the best coin picture I've ever taken.
The eye appeal of my 20c piece is off the charts for the grade (MS63), and while it’s not evident in the TrueView, the reverse is proof-like. If you ever see this one for sale, I’m probably dead!
Wow, what a spectacular au58. I’m not gonna lie, you could tell me that coin was in a 63-64 holder and I wouldn’t question it. Good thing I don’t collect buffs
Actually, there is a good way to spot AU but this coin doesn't seem to have it....best to see this in hand. So...yeah, this looks very much like a near gem piece, IMO.

I like circulated coins when their toning highlights the coin's details. Of course, they're also less expensive than MS coins. Here are three of my favorites that I think have very nice eye appeal.
ANACS AU50 - Approaching circulated commemorative perfection, IMO. From Julian Liedman. 50% over market, but worth it, IMO!
Raw - The dove gray Bay Bridge with highlighted wave crests that I've been searching many years for. The reverse looks as if it's lit by moonlight.
PCGS VF35 - I hit the bid button furiously for this coin.
The 1851 Half is a tough coin! I once had a F-12.This one is very wholesome! You may need to replace that keyboard.
So nice for the grade! Still nicely represents the design. Wow, You must have people asking you to sell it to them! I had that with a few Seated Dollars, that I owned.

Were they anything like this relatively mark-free G6 1846 seated dollar?
When I get bored and/or disappointed with US coins, I go north of the border and look for nice, relatively inexpensive colorful toners among Canadian dollars and halves.
Back to the States . . . Oops, I already showed the 46 TD . . . Here's another I like . . . an 1849 that's seen some postal adventures reminiscent of Raiders of the Lost Ark and has escaped entirely unscathed except for the grade. However, I feel it's more accurately graded now as an EF40 CAC.

Hi Barberian,
I feel that your wholesome 1846 would also be very popular. It is a choice representative type coin.
These were my coins:
1854 PCGS VF-30
1855 PCGS F-12
These two sold really fast also. Collectible grades.
We visited the Battle monument a few years ago, it's tucked into a large corner lot in the heart of a residential area along a very busy road. I imagine it would be a stirring sight to live close by and start each day in silent remembrance of those brave Patriots who gave so much.

New to my half dollar collection. Already a favorite. My kind of eye appeal.
Wonderful. I considered pulling the trigger on this one, and probably should have. Nice pickup!
It looks like it would have been a good mate to have with your twenty-cent piece. By the way, remind me again when is that twenty-cent piece going to be available for purchase?

This coin is in my collection (it graded PF66). I think this coin is under graded.
This coin was in my collection, but I sold the 1950 proof set is was contained in (It graded PF67+). I never should have sold it.
Both coins were part of two OGP proof sets I bought years ago.
These Thalers are truly beautiful coins!

Nobody's complaining. Like asheland's 1806 bust quarter and Catbert's 1854-O half, I never get tired of it, that's for sure.

A luster bomb:

Absolutely stunning!
I see the circulated cameo look of the reverse. It does capture the eye. Very nice!
The coin is fantastic and I like how you laid out the photo to include the slab shot. Well done on both counts!
