To this half-Greek boy, anything from the classical age of ancient Greece is pretty special; so, when I got back to coin collecting as an adult, it was inevitable I'd get one of these.
Thank you everyone for putting all these fantastic coins as eye candy in this thread.
Here are a few moderns because like most other youngsters, started collecting the Lincoln penny first.
After completing the Dansco album the error varities caught my fancy, hence began trying to put together a comprehensive 1909-2009 set.
So here's my NGC graded MS-65 red 1972 DDO in a pretty scratched up slab along with the 1984 double ear and the 1995 DDO, both of which are in the raw and hopefully will get sent to our hosts soon.
Had posted the following 1955 DDO in AU 50 on another thread earlier.
And one of the accented hair Kennedy also in the raw.
Cheers.

Although none of these are real coins, I just adore the look of each and every one of these.
The top is an over strike from DC. Middle is the SC$50 Jankovsky-740 Brass Facsimile Coca Cola Bottling 'Slug'
And the bottom is a Ron Landis medal, overstruck in gold.
I like circulated coins when their toning highlights the coin's details. Of course, they're also less expensive than MS coins. Here are three of my favorites that I think have very nice eye appeal.
ANACS AU50 - Approaching circulated commemorative perfection, IMO. From Julian Liedman. 50% over market, but worth it, IMO!
Raw - The dove gray Bay Bridge with highlighted wave crests that I've been searching many years for. The reverse looks as if it's lit by moonlight.
PCGS VF35 - I hit the bid button furiously for this coin.
Wow, what a spectacular au58. I’m not gonna lie, you could tell me that coin was in a 63-64 holder and I wouldn’t question it. Good thing I don’t collect buffs
I was thinking the same thing when I sent it in. At least it's the highest grade for the everyman set. Pop 2 If you zoom in you can see some doubling on the date and liberty that I didn't notice until the Truviews showed up.
My profile picture. I find 20th century proofs really nice looking, especially with deep mirrors, some contrast and nice flow lines. The close-up obverse shot is probably the best coin picture I've ever taken.
Holy SCHMOLY!! I'm not even into Bust halves much but those are simply staggering!

No such as a low grade 200+ year old coin. Love them all, silver or copper.
Very nice coins.

I like coins (duh!), and I like pretty coins a lot. In particular, Lincoln wheat cents that are still red or reddish are, to me, gorgeous.
Here's a die variety I have, the 1909-S over horizonal S.

I collect by date and mint mark. This is one of the prettiest.
Holed coins are oftentimes very nice and original. Nobody tries to "improve" them because they're holed.
Scratches are on the slab.
