Sorry to hear it. May his soul Rest In Peace.
His passion for making numismatic videos will not easily be replaced.
A man who expanded a niche into a well-respected part of the hobby that ended up leaving a tribute to his forethought and expertise.
A life well-lived. We will miss him . . . .

Oh wow, I am sad to hear this. I've talked to him a few times over the years at Long Beach and he was always a gentleman. I also enjoyed his youtube videos he did at various shows across the country. This sucks..
What did he pass away from?
I'm a little shocked and very saddened.
I loved watching his videos.
Thanks for the hours of enjoyment and great information.
RIP David....

Shocking and sad news. I was just talking with him at the Long Beach show. He was definitely Mr. Coin Video, always recording educational seminars at FUN, and his presence at the annual VAM Thing is how I got to know him. RIP, Dave.

Very sad news. My wife just purchased items from him at the WFOM show in August, and I also very much enjoyed watching his videos on youtube. RIP.
Your hobby is supposed to be your therapy, not the reason you need it.
Really sad and surprising to hear this. His name is synonymous with coin show videos and interviews. RIP.

I'm sorry to hear this.

Really sorry to hear. I have spent hours watching his videos. I met him once and he was a nice person. My condolences to his loved ones.
Requiescat in pace.
Very sad news.
I only knew him through his many videos, and his enthusiasm was always infectious. Very sad indeed.
Oh my, a loss indeed. He will be missed.
My deepest and sincere condolences to his friends and family.
Sad news. I enjoyed his youtube channel and work with coinweek, very pleasant material.
Met him the first time over 20 years ago. He's always been one of the friendliest most approachable people I've ever met.
And oh man his depth of coin knowledge and memory was nothing short of exceptional.
Got to actually chat with him again at two shows here in Colorado during the last year.
At the Denver Coin Expo earlier this year I got to see some of HIS cool coins at his booth. My friend bought some beautiful jewelry from his wife that day too.
I'll miss running into him regularly
Condolences

This saddens me greatly! I’ve never met him, but I’ve watched NUMEROUS videos of his on YouTube. This is really awful news!
My YouTube Channel
So sorry to hear the news ..... worked with him several times to make videos of guest speakers at the USRGCC.
He was always pleasant, fun to chat with and a professional. He will be missed.
Always enjoyed his 'Cool Coins' segments, very sorry to hear about his passing.
My condolences
This is sad and shocking to hear. He taped a number of my presentations, including one that had almost no audience about early half dimes at an EAC convention.
Rest in Peace, I ran across his videos on youtube a few years ago and instantly subscribed. Loved his details about the shows, and the highlights on young numismatists. A big loss for the coin videography segment of the hobby...
It's all about what the people want...
I managed to find his video of your 2010 presentation in the "David Lisot Video Library' (already mentioned by @MrEureka) at the Newman Numismatic Portal:

I enjoyed watching this - nice job by you and David, plus the NNP for making it available.
I'll admit - about halfway through, I started thinking - "I don't think Bill Jones has an 1802...". So many of the other coins you showed are really great, though. I've seen some of them here on the forum from time to time.
So very sad!
I enjoyed his work and fine presentations.
My condolences to his family and many friends.

SAD, my condolences to his family.
Knew him and just had a real nice conversation with him at the Long Beach. show some weeks ago.
Hurts.
I also enjoyed his YouTube videos. Very sad.
I love his youtube videos, he inspired me to reconnect with the hobby with his "cool coins" segment.
I really appreciated @MrEureka posting David's video archives. I didn't even know that this existed. I spent two hours watching Long Beach Expo footage from 2005. It was such a treat to hear David Hall, QDB, Art Kagin, and other greats speak about their early experiences in the rare coin market. David's work was sooo valuable to posterity. I truly enjoyed that! Thank You!!
