Got the same message, he went thru the WTB posts and sent this to everyone; I assume he is trying to assemble a list of emails of collectors to sell , or for some other nefarious reason

If you only have the obverse of a cent, is that a half-cent?

Well, I do not know if it is a scam, or an inexperienced entrepreneur. However, I do not reply to unsolicited sales emails. Cheers, RickO

It would be a little bit of fun to have a wanted for a coin that simply does not exist, made up. Then getting the notice that someone has exactly what you want. :)
Oh, just a hypothetical and not suggesting as to much trouble.

This exact type of offer has been posted on the BST in the past and discussed here. I don't remember the details but the consensus was it was a scam. Send a message to the email and lets see what happens. I'm not sending one.

I failed to mention in the 1st post that several weeks ago I did post a WTB on BST for a 2022 Quarter slabbed with the obverse (Washington side) in the front of the slab.

Or maybe a 1913 liberty nickel or a 1933 $20 Saint? That would give him a lot to shoot for.

I wish I would have seen this, just got responded to on a gold proof box I been needing, So I had to put a few funds in paypal (iI dont use it any longer) to send to him, I wouldnt do F & F becuase of IRS business requirements, but sent a few dollars extra. He refunded me and wanted me to use cash app, zelle which I said forget it. Now I see its some kind of scam, luckily, just lost a few dollars payment processing thru PP only.

I am usually careful about this type stuff, but being a forum member who informed me of the guy, I assumed it was legit.

If you are a dealer, you don't pay for a coin that some stranger wants to sell to you until you have the coin in your hand.

My wife got ripped off by a scam claiming there was an unauthorized purchase on amazon and she needed to send $ fast to get the purchase reversed. Had to do it right now Had to use Zelle. All red flags. Apparently you have absolutely no recourse with Zelle. Once it has been sent it is gone. Luckily, she dd not loose a significant amount of $ bit she did have to close out the bank account and linked CC. A real pain.

Work from home, everyone is making money hand over fist if they have internet access and know how to work a keyboard! They are even paying over a thousand dollars a day for gaming pros!

There was a recent hearing in Congress with bank CEOs on the issues with Zelle. You are correct, there is no recourse. Zelle is owned by the banks and is their competitor to PayPal, etc.

I didn't respond, but I find it interesting that this person wants to use Zelle... I thought you had to give up bank account info for that so you really need to know... and trust... the other party to use it.

A few months ago it was a different email. You get ghosted if you ask for an image of the coin from the supposed friend. Scam

I have been exchanging emails with Korder and he gave me an address to have a friend come and pick the coins up as well as pay. I told him my friend was a local police officer and that didn’t shake him. Anyone in Lafayette, La? That is the address he gave me….anyone?
