Not one of your best, but rather one of your favorite coins.
This silver eagle must have been someone's pocket piece. I like the overall look and wear.
(Purchased off of eBay a few years ago.)
This lowkey cent is the perfect blend of yellow bronze toning.
(Purchased from a board member here.)
What is some or one of your favorite coins, even though they may not be your "best"?

I’ve always thought this Merc with midnight blue crescent toning was cool. Haven’t seen another one like it. PCGS population is over 94k in this grade (66FB) with 29k higher, so objectively it’s nothing special.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Maybe not everyones cup of tea as far as eye appeal, but I still think this DDO is under appreciated.

Coin from a friend who's no longer here....
MrHalfDime pedigree....
1929-D Walking Liberty.
One I cherry picked, sent in and got back a grade higher than I expected. I knew I bought it well but not this well!

First one is an accidental purchase (one of the "other" coins not listed in the eBay lot but included - basically a $0 purchase). 2nd one is in an old ANACS small, white holder which I am fond of ...
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

I have mentioned the story many times on here as to how slabbed keys were sought due to the various fakes floating around, while cobbling together my Morgan dollar series.
Doing it on a tight budget, felt very "chuffed" when the opportunity came along to grab the following coin in AG 3.
Bet the below pictured coin featuring a freckled Liberty travelled in many a pockets/wallets/hand purses and could regale one with lots of stories if they could talk.

Just a nice raw CBH I currently have ... which I keep close at hand ... to remind myself of the days gone by (before plastic), and to enjoy the design at a lesser grade than I usually collect

These two are very high on the list.
A lot of it is the history, the originality, and the overall eye appeal:

This one has a face only a mother could love...
It is a unique and relatively unknown variety utilizing the famous "Good For A Scent" die with the only example of the use of the "Good for a drink, 2 1/2 Chapman Place" obverse die.
It's beat to hell...but it SURVIVED.
Like the "Excelsior Club 22 Elm St" this is a Civil War token in which only 1 example is known. Pretty cool, and an essential part of my collection of tokens and medals of Joseph H. Merriam.

"Coin collecting for outcasts..."
Not a super high-grade coin, but there's something about it that's just seems wholesome:

I like my plain 1916 Mercury, nice toning and MS64 full bands
oops, sorry to post it twice, 1932 - D in AU50 could tell stories
I generally get all giggly over most of my acquisitions, but these more so than others.
There will be more to follow I'm sure.

Lower grade, semi-key, nothing super special but I am very fond of this one

One of the lowest grades I own. But the aquisition story makes it one of my favs.

Definitely not one of the best but makes me think of crusty gold.

Wait, wut?
I have several lower grade toners, 62-63 ish.
This PCGS 63 is one that I keep going back to for visual kicks.
Have shared here before (in other threads) so please forgive my redundancy.

It's a very rare Lincoln cent. So rare, Whitman didn't make a slot for it in their albums! 😂 🤣

I have been privileged to have seen one or two of those rarities. According to my research and sources, less than 500 total escaped the mint . . . . .

Wow! That's nice @crazyhounddog!
I love that one!

It's lower grade, damaged, and it isn't even a US coin, but I totally love this addition to my Box of 20:

Still need to send this in for gold bean. 😎
I have long been drawn to this half dime because of the date, 1860. It was just before "the stuff hit the fan."
A nice, circulated cameo 76-CC
A colorful VG10

Uncirculated Baseball Dollar. It's out of the capsule and has been stored in the blue velvet box since 2014.

Love this coin! Rare and nice for the grade! Keys make the set.
I've got an 04 Indian with the same toning. Beautiful coin.
