Just playing around with this set. I picked up the first 2 via trading and then the third came from GC. Id love to pick up some others if anyone here has ones they would like to get rid of.

Here’s one I’ve previously posted, but it’s special. Probably one of the first coins struck from a pair of newly polished dies when the Mint resumed issuing Proof coins in 1936. PR67+ w/CAC. Any distractions you see are only in the photos, not on the coin:
Jefferson is looking a little different on this one

“Oh, I see” said the blind man. I didn’t see Jefferson in the subject line, and was wondering why no one posted a nickel other than Jefferson, lol.
I’ll edit and repost, making believe I know how to read.
Thanks.

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!
I was very happy when when I found this 1938 Proof Nickel at a show.
The 1942 Proof War Nickel is one of my favorites. Given their unique status as the only Proof War Nickel, I think that they are unappreciated.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
