I was released from my prison cell.. ahem i mean hospital room. i need to call the surgeon tomorrow.
I found what it was that i tripped on. There was a nail sticking up out of one of the small wooden steps in the back yard. Somehow it weaseled its way up from being flush to being more than 1/2 inch up out of the step. It was dark and no way to see it.

It was surprisingly cheap. One of the ones I already gave away, or I’d send it to you. I like the serpent staff on it. It is of course the origin of the medical caduceus you see nowadays on the side of ambulances and such. Asklepios’ staff of healing.
