[GRADE REVEALED IN FIRST POST] I haven't done a GTG in a while - 1883 5¢ With "CENTS"

The photo is a good representation of what the coin looks like in hand. It's in a PCGS OGH.
Congrats to all who guessed 63!!

I'm at 66.
Coin Photographer.
I will guess MS63 for a pcgs grade. I would guess 65 if it was raw. I don’t understand how MS grading choices are made on Liberty nickels. I see so many that look 65 or better in ms62-63 holders.

I believe it would have graded 64.

I can't tell if the stars are weakly struck or slightly worn. Ill go with weak strike and say 63.

Looks like a gem to me.
65, even in the old holder.
See what appears to be light haze in the lt. obverse field and some minor chatter on the cheek. MS 63 if in OGH. MS 64 today.

I'm torn between 64 and 65; I'll give it the benefit and say 65
MS65 if the luster is there; MS64 if it is not. Hate to see so many flatly struck stars!
I think I'll go 64

MS63 but no more.
Grade revealed in first post.
I still think it's at least a 64
It has some very nice luster for a 63

I dont see it as a 63, unless it has some chatter in the obverse fields that cannot be seen due to the image technique.
The photos are pretty true. Very clean with no chatter, marks, or spots. There is a nice cartwheel luster to it but not blazing.
As soon as I saw this I had a feeling you were right. Especially now that I'm in front of a computer and not just on a cell and I can see more of the circulation. So, going out on a limb you did not discount the grade for the OGH but rather the true grade?
Ahhhhhh😉👍👍👍
I pay absolutely no attention to holders or stickers when I grade. The grade opinion I give is based on my interpretation of the photos shown.
Good eye, I like this reasoning the most, as for why the grade is low. It is logical. Compared to the rest of the strike, I wonder if the stars were filled with grease?
I am a little embarrassed to say I did not recognize that feature when initially looking this over. Here forward I will look more closely at the stars on the Vs.

Same with the stars on Shield Nickels.
