@Scorpio... Welcome aboard. First and foremost, go to a bookstore and get a copy of the Redbook on coins....it runs $15-20.... It will have all your U.S. coins listed with values. It also has grading guidelines and lots of other useful information. A tremendous resource for beginners and advanced collectors. We all use it. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
Welcome! If you have a cell phone, PCGS CoinFacts is a good app to have. It has pictures and information for most U.S. coins as well as very useful grading and price guidelines, like the red book.

Welcome. Relax and enjoy.
This is a wonderful place to learn and share.
The boys and I would like to remind you that politics and religion are not really a good discussion or answer here and can cause “The Ban Hammer “ to fall upon your head.
Wise , and those of much experience , share this bit of wisdom… “collect what you like “
We shall enjoy learning what you like. Lastly, Ricko is right on the money ( collecting joke). Get a red book. Great starting point. 😉🙀🦫

One tip: if you have a question about a coin or coins, always provide photos of the complete coin obverse and reverse and any closeups of a particular area you have concerns about. Not 20 photographs, just enough to ID your question. Saying that, please be patient, as the forum will prevent any photo presentations by a new member for a couple of days or so. Welcome to the forum and give us a little info about you, as coin types you like, grade range, how long you have collected, your favorite coin in your collection and why, your future goals and anything you feel pertinent to give us a grasp of your needs. Books are a must and sooo many are available online for free. Best of luck.

Welcome! This place has a lot to offer. Just take your time, be patient and polite and you will learn a lot!
Disclaimer: I'm not a dealer, trader, grader, investor or professional numismatist. I'm just a hobbyist. (To protect me but mostly you! 🤣 )
It doesn't even have to be a new Redbook. Except for values, all information in the back issues remains relevant.
Welcome to the Coin University ☺️

P.S. Welcome
I stole the 'Fresh Meat' image from our dear late friend Russ. He used that image whenever he could to welcome new forum members. It is a fitting welcome for @Scorpio.
I'm sorry I seem to be more an more apologetic everywhere I turn in every direction 😂 I jus realized I had been welcomed by you all ty all so very much and I was gone for so long trying to figure out how I could begin to offer any thing that would be of any interest and then how to approach presenting it and anyone interested not be suspicious and not want to chance making any transactions with me. An I really thought I had done well and only to make an ass out of myself unintentionally I promise. I would not most definitely not come into a forum of experts and collectors of years and wisdom and try to insult anyone's intelligence 🤣
No I'm sum dumb but not plumb dumb. Ty all for the welcome an sorry I am just now responding to the welcomes.
Welcome aboard and let the learning begin.
