I really like this thread. It just goes to show you that you don't need PSA9's and PSA10's to have an attractive card and in turn a great collection!
Also, I think it shows some graders aren't as good as others.

Having attended the National .... more than several dealers were loaded with exceptional centered low grade HOF'ers in every year..... it was very tantalizing to see some PSA 2.5's that looked like PSA 8's honestly.
That Red Cobb gets me every time I look at it. A marvel of a card as it looks mint to the eye.
PS: Man, do I miss that yellow Lou! I wonder why I ever let that one go. One day you'll upgrade it and sell it to me!
This PSA 1 below cannot claim to look like a higher technical grade, yet the super rare centering gives it eye appeal off the charts to me. Was happy to shatter the PSA 1 record for this baby:

I appreciate it Matt. Glad the faint paper loss on the back allowed me to get the Red Cobb.
As far as the Yellow Lou, I'll think about it lol
Love that PSA 1 52T Mick. That eye-appeal rivals any high grade example. Congrats!

Picked up this Leaf Ted recently. Does have some creasing but thought it looked pretty nice for the grade.
Wow! I'm convinced whomever you and DM23HOF buy these off of actually pays the grading companies extra to have the 1 or 2 slabbed instead of the correct grade.
Incredible card. Can barely see the cloud. PSA makes a huge mistake by making any hole a PSA 1 automatically, imo, as no other attribute completely strips away all other grading markers from a card.

When I first bought the card on eBay years ago, I had a hard time seeing the pin hole in the photos. But I remember thinking I got a great deal!

mine are certainly low grade, not sure they're beautiful!
hey jimq,
Oh my...Very Nice...
Love the centering on this one.
Found this one today while looking for something else. Probably qualifies.

I have looked and looked, in the light, different angles, I can't find why this is a PSA 6.

This MJ has some heavy paper loss on back but the front looks better than some of the highest graded copies.

@JBL. Yummy curation~ Each card a cut above for the grade ~no question.
Found this today looking in a box I haven't looked at in many years.
My lowest graded card.

I had to follow your Redbird 3 with my own. My lowest graded too, but one of the most beautiful 3s you'll ever see.

hey DBesse27,
Oh Yeah....That's cool...
JBL: those four cards are drop-dead gorgeous, despite their grades.
Here's my latest pick-up (from Love of the Game) that I think fits the theme of this thread perfectly. Love the deep, dark red and the sharp corners.
I appreciate it Matt. Glad the faint paper loss on the back allowed me to get the Red Cobb.

I appreciate the kind words.
That red background just pops on the CJ. Congrats!

JBL does it again! What an eye, bro. Keep doing your thing and beating the grading game!
That TW is beautiful. Even if it is creased. I’ve always loved the colors and designs of that set.
