GSA 1882 CC - caution non-toners it is Toned

Not a photographer, not even an amateur one, click and shoot automatic with my 20 year old camera.
Never tried a GSA before but that big flat plastic is a pain as it wants to reflect everything including the camera.
Got off axis on one and then cropped out the camera on the bottom. Yes the photo is not square and the crops crooked. But...

That's a monster by 82-CC standards! Tough, tough date with nice color. It's brethren 83 and 84 are much more common with nice color.

And I agree, GSAs are tough to photograph. This is the best I could do with my favorite - luster is captured better on the slab photo:

Gotcha- thought it might be a new purchase- I’m not really a business strike Morgan guy but I would imagine it would garner quite a premium with that toning.

That thing I have had much longer than the GSA. One of the best purchases I have made (not $ wise but enjoyment).

I am waiting for one of PCGS or NGC to put the label on the back, like NGC does for Redfields. I don’t like how the NGC band covers up the word “Silver Dollar” and I think the PCGS “tomb” looks silly (and it does not fit in the box)

Agree. I also have wondered if NGC would do an equivalent reverse holder. This where some reverse toned coins are slabbed with the reverse up. So would NGC apply the GSA grading label to the back/reverse side of the case. There would still be the 'band' around the front but that would at least be a little better (maybe).
