New member waiting for permissions to download photos of pennies

Hello, I am a new member. I believe I have to wait a few days before I can upload photos and perhaps change my profile picture. My husband gave me a box of pennies that he and his dad collected many years ago. The pennies range from around the 1920's on up. I have spent the past couple months reading this forum and others, as well as reading websites that explain the many different errors and varieties. I look forward to learning more as I share some hopefully, not so common cents. Sony

First welcome.

You can post pictures from some websites.
Go to website and click the photo and copy image address.
At the top of the comment box select the far right icon Image URL and paste image address.
Enter.
If it loads into the comment box it probably worked but can verity with Preview button.

However it is hit and miss on which websites are allowed to post pictures from. I see one new poster just posted pics from https://i.ibb.co/fC1qG5M/PICT0026.jpg
So if you have a website that you have pictures on could try this.

Also don't know if you have looked into the thread at the top of the first page that has several resources. Might have some new ones if not.

Buy a copy of the current edition of the Redbook. It's about $15 and will give you a good idea if you have common coins (most likely) or if there are some better dates or well known varieties. It also has some basic grading info.

if a person knows how to host image externally and just post the links in the image box and/or where i'm typing now, there is no wait at all. if it won't let you post links, just exclude the http part.

I did try and attach 2 photos from my google drive to my 2nd post. They look like they attached, but haven't had a response yet.

Your 2nd post above does not indicate and Edit. So thinking something did not go correctly. Might try in a new post or retry the Edit and save.
Note: LanceNewmanOCC suggestion above about the http part. I have not tried that.

I honestly have no idea where to upload them externally other than Imgur. I do know it's possible though. I don't have a computer, just my phone and have trouble uploading them to Imgur. It only works sometimes

What is the wait time? I joined last week and just checked my profile after see this and it states "Roles: Applicant".
