Vegas has tightened up the lines this week. Week 1 has always been the easiest week for me as no one knows exactly what to expect. There are some very tempting early games. Home dogs Saints, Steelers and Washington on the road but I’m going with my one pick I feel good about.

There was a lot of talk before the season about the AFC west being the toughest division and
I did agree, but now Denver and especially the Raiders look pretty disappointing so far.
It may not be the toughest division. Today proves there are still a lot of doubts about Derek Carr
being able to step up and lead the Raiders to the next level.

I saw the game, and had the over. Line 51.5. I remarked to my GF at the 10 second mark of reg. that I needed a TD,2 Pt. conv., and an OT TD. Only way I could win other than both teams trading FG. I said no way. Am not that lucky. I would think the odds were probably 2-3% of this happening. In all my years of playing (betting) I've never been that lucky for 3 events to occur in that succession. I did not win a lot of $, but it was the way it panned out that made it so enjoyable. This game I will remember for some time. The result picked me up from the meltdown, debacle that the Browns afforded me earlier. Unreal comeback by the "Fish" as well. What a day in the NFL.

a day later and i still can't get over the Arizona game. i've been gambling long enough to have seen it all, or so i thought. but then a game like yesterday happens where literally all Vegas had to do is make one play out of about 10 to put the game away and they couldn't do it. and to Kyler's credit, he kept making them until he finally stole the game from them.
i would not at all be surprised if there is a story today about an Arizona fan who was assaulted leaving that stadium, because i know there had to have been some crazed Raiders fans who completely lost their minds after that epic meltdown.

Just an update. Right and left eye cataract and corrective lens surgery completed today. All went well and am in my second week of vacation and healing. The difference is stark and is amazing what we get used to if it’s slow over a 7 year period.
Probably 40% more light allowed into the right eye. White went from eggshell to stark white.
Now for the second life changing moment. Later in the week my wife is taking me to an optometrist who sells color blind glasses. Not only will I see clearly but how the world looks to everyone else. It’s been a great two weeks

Absolutely! It’s really a simple procedure. You put drops in your eye for a few days before. They give you a shot of Demerol and the whole procedure takes about 10 minutes.
My insurance paid 100% of the cataract surgery with zero co pay for anything. The hi tech lens cost $3000 an eye. Went for a follow up and my eye sight is 20-25 and takes a few months to complete the total process. Life changing.
