Hawaiian Transit Token 1951

Roxbury, Massachusetts coach token.
And its sister piece, a Maverick Coach token
East Boston is now the site of Logan Airport which serves Boston. Back when this piece was issued in the 1830s, it was seaside resort community dotted with cottages.

fwiw, i'm 99% certain that is a cast, maybe struck counterfeit. not engraved. not even engraved on a counterfeit. if you are buying those and didn't know. BE WARE
I had some NYC subway tokens when I was a kid.... No idea what happened to them, likely in the landfill. Cheers, RickO

Thanks for the heads up, I did learn about cast coins back when I first found out about Hobo Nickels and have a couple of cast and couple of genuine and I'm good with cast coins as long as they look cool (and are not expensive) since I collect stuff according to coolness factor more than possible value but don't spend a lot for them :-)
I have several of these NYC tokens.
I also have a full roll of New Hampshire tokens.

Here's a selection of denominations and directions from the Ray Byrne collection of West Virginia transportation tokens. After being the underbidder when the Byrne collection was originally auctioned I was fortunate to have a second shot at the West Virginia group several years later. The collection included 20+ of the Wheeling toll road tokens including several (then) unlisted counterstamped pieces. I've kept it and added to it as Ray was great to me whenever our paths crossed early in my journey; the odd way the collection came back around only makes it more memorable.

A former co-worker of my asked me to look at some of her Dad's coins and these were all mixed in with a group of circulated coins from the 40's and 50's.
