Neat Lincoln Cent Error… what exactly do I have here?
I was chatting with a coworker today and during the conversation found a pile of change on his table, so I started going through it while we were talking. I found this cent and knew I had something! I don’t know what error it is exactly, so maybe you can help. I know there’s a super sharp clip because I almost cut myself on it. And of course while I don’t know exactly how valuable it is, I know the question isn’t if it’s valuable, but rather just how extremely valuable is it?

What did you and @emeraldATV have for lunch?
Any other
treasures?
I had pizza! And there were a bunch of high grade 2021 quarters. Probably at least MS71 or 72 if I sent them to PCGS.
Not enough road kill "error" posts lately?
It has the WOW! factor! It's time to start promoting it. Make your own video and you are on your way!
Ohhh that is a candidate!!

Best thing I've seen on this forum in many months!
It looks like a dog chewed on it before swallowing it and pooping it out. The person picking up the poop noticed a rare coin and cleaned it off before spending.
So list it on eBay as a
1988 Lincoln ragged edge clip flip-over multi-struck error with a BIN of $50.
Do you have a coin slot in your trac grabber?

Looks like a 1788.
Key date for the Lincoln series on top of an extremely rare error.
You Suck!
To truly maximize value and profit, ETSY might be a better choice.

Just sayin'.
Looks counterfeit and I think you made up the story to add to the intrigue. Shame on you!
It’s obviously been through the garbage disposal.
Looks like it was struck in a special granite collar that was then released with the coin. Yeah, that's it. Gotta be worth at least $60/sq ft, I imagine.

The coin has a definite case of "zinc stink".

My mind reader refuses to charge me....
Did it come from an old safe in an abandoned pottery shop??
Such a treasure... You can say it came from the 'random desk top' hoard.
Cheers, RickO
I believe that this is one of the coins lost in the mail and subsequentially found in the rifled packages along the railroad tracks.
