    hey 70ToppsFanatic,
    Lynwood wrap...That's old school... :)

Why mess with a good thing?

PSA won’t slab them in the box and Steve won’t “slab” them separate from PSA anymore. Lynwood stickers are probably circa 2012-2013.

I remember opening these packs. The ice cream truck would come by every day. The gum was full of powder. They made a movie around that time.

Hi Dave, hope all is well!

Just a heads up: PSA now slabs jumbo cellos with the box with the new holders.

    1970stopps.

Are those 10 1972 wax boxes? All are unopened and BBCE wrapped?

  • 70ToppsFanatic70ToppsFanatic Posts: 2,106 ✭✭✭✭

Yes. They are series 5/6 and I have sold off a couple of them since the photo was taken.

Tons of unopened remaining in the hobby. There is much much more of this in very wealthy collectors possessions. Plenty of buying opportunities ahead.

Going thru this thread again and just floored by the product out there. And the big hitters are not even showing us their stashes.

I agree there is an enormous amount of product sitting in collections and perhaps even hidden in plain sight that will come up in estate sales and liquidations.

I do wonder if breakers will eventually go in big on ripping 90s and earlier. I know it’s out there but nothing like the modern Breaks that are (sadly in my opinion) such a core segment of the hobby now.

Hope to see this thread go a little longer here.

What is this? Is it a BB cello with at least one FB card on the front, or is this an intentional Topps product as I would infer from the PSA label?

It's probably a pack of cards with football fronts and baseball backs (wrong back cards). I have a few cards with baseball fronts and football backs. Never saw a full pack like that though!

They are tough to find but PSA has holdered a number of them over the years and we actually broke a box of them here on CU years ago. The top half of the pack consists of football cards and the bottom half behind the gum consists of 1980 baseball cards.

Completely ridiculous stuff in here. To think I got cold feet spending $10,000 on a 1979 O-Pee-Chee box.
