I was going through some things and found these gems from a group break long ago. Boy do I wish I had bought a full box when Steve had 'em for $6k
hey 1all,
Pretty cool...looks like you have a few 77Cell-O's back there...
PSA won’t slab them in the box and Steve won’t “slab” them separate from PSA anymore. Lynwood stickers are probably circa 2012-2013.
Hi Dave, hope all is well!
Just a heads up: PSA now slabs jumbo cellos with the box with the new holders.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Going thru this thread again and just floored by the product out there. And the big hitters are not even showing us their stashes.
I agree there is an enormous amount of product sitting in collections and perhaps even hidden in plain sight that will come up in estate sales and liquidations.
I do wonder if breakers will eventually go in big on ripping 90s and earlier. I know it’s out there but nothing like the modern Breaks that are (sadly in my opinion) such a core segment of the hobby now.
Hope to see this thread go a little longer here.

Conundrum - Loving my unopened baseball card collection....but really like ripping too
1974 Topps baseball wax trays~one with each wrapper variation (now BBCE wrapped).

What is this? Is it a BB cello with at least one FB card on the front, or is this an intentional Topps product as I would infer from the PSA label?
It's probably a pack of cards with football fronts and baseball backs (wrong back cards). I have a few cards with baseball fronts and football backs. Never saw a full pack like that though!
They are tough to find but PSA has holdered a number of them over the years and we actually broke a box of them here on CU years ago. The top half of the pack consists of football cards and the bottom half behind the gum consists of 1980 baseball cards.

hey CWUCAT62,
Your wax looks almost like the debut studio album...
wow, looking at unopened cases is dull. Love the boxes and packs!

hey 70ToppsFanatic,
Lynwood wrap...That's old school...
Why mess with a good thing?

I remember opening these packs. The ice cream truck would come by every day. The gum was full of powder. They made a movie around that time.

I think I passed out for a few seconds.
1970stopps.
Are those 10 1972 wax boxes? All are unopened and BBCE wrapped?
Yes. They are series 5/6 and I have sold off a couple of them since the photo was taken.
Dave
The cello pack was my own sub. One of 3 in PSA 9 only! Fantastic Vader and the Bounty Hunters!
Impressive collection of unopened Star Wars!
Tons of unopened remaining in the hobby. There is much much more of this in very wealthy collectors possessions. Plenty of buying opportunities ahead.
looking for 1988 Fournier estrellas stickers , 1985 Prism Jewel stickers , anything Jesse Owens .
When Steve wrapped this, he said it was the best Topps Fun Packs bag he has ever seen.
10 1981 Topps FB Wax Packs
4 1980-81 Topps Basketball Wax Packs
2 1980 Topps FB Cello Packs
2023 Series One and 2023 Update Super Boxes from Walmart.
10 regular packs
1 pack of 5 Silver Foilboard cards
1 oversized card
1 enamel pin that is a replica of the player's base card.
I'm kind of bummed that, apparently, they skipped this packaging for the 2023 Series Two issue.
2024 Series One Super Boxes are now available, but haven't picked one up yet.
.
A guy was selling these for $2 a pack at Chantilly in 2019. LOL those were the days.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.

Some of my football packs. Love unopened cellos and rack packs.
Looking for 1970 to 1979 Unopened Football cellos and rack packs.
Oakland Raiders on top or back of any packs as well.
Completely ridiculous stuff in here. To think I got cold feet spending $10,000 on a 1979 O-Pee-Chee box.
Every once and a while, I let the boys run around.
