I use to go to Harlan Berks all the time when I was working. Haven’t been there in years. Never liked the parking but liked the shop.

The only one in 50 or more miles of me that I know of is Joe Fama's Card and Coin Shop. Been going to him for 30 odd years. Great guy.

Where is this located please ?

I did a lot of business with HJB, both buying and selling and always was a pleasurable experience and was treated with respect each and every time.

That would be an interesting place to go if I lived in the area. As it is, I'm strictly on the Web.

A local guy just opened one within my area. I hope he survives. Right now he is depending upon the metals market. He's had me in to consult about the coins that came across the counter a couple of times.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Looks like they sell record albums and sports cards in the boxes. Possibly comic books in those boxes as well in the foreground.

Not sure about albums but cards and comics for sure. It takes so much more room for cards and comics, but Joe keeps a good collection of coins and will talk as long as you wish about coins. When I enter his store I am usually looking to see how busy he is at the coin counter where he usually stays to determine whether to come back or not.

195 miles from here to there. Just a bit to far, however if I'm down that way I'll be sure to stop by. Thank you.

nice shop/location. that is a good idea for this thread to encourage shopping local for people. just WHATEVER you do, don't change the prices with customers in the shop. they may riot and literally, people do not need ANY other excuses to do that these days! i'll even help you; remember but just ONE thing, ok? don't.....make.....any......mistakes.... then you should be ok :+1:

There are no 'local' coin shops here.... Closest I think is about 75 miles.... Not exactly 'drop in' convenience. Plus, I have too much to do anyway.... I will check shops in AZ when I visit my buddy soon... Cheers, RickO

My local coin shop is largely overpriced moderns, US mint flips, and a few very overprices classics with problems. The majority of the coins are dumped into two giant tables where you can pick out the 2x2s you want of the various moderns pulled from mint and proof sets.

All I have is this interior shot. Maybe going today, and I'll catch a shot of the storefront.

My local coin shop. I post a link below to their webpage because they might not appreciate me taking photos of their place.

I have a slight affordability issue with this local shop. :) I think I just saw a Panama-Pacific Octagonal $50 in the window today, MS66.
