No restoration required...CBH
I was going to wait to post this coin until I had a chance to have it sent in for LanceView's... but these quickie phone pics tell the story just a bit.
I had high hopes of winning a charming AU version of this awesome lds marriage, but charming AU's have a way of leaving me in the dust once the big bids start rolling in... so I went to my tried and true back up plan, hunt down an original VF.
I was more than a bit stunned to find one so quickly. When lucks on your side, it sometimes works out that way 😄

Holy Crud that is a nice coin!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
There is something about that hard dove gray and pink toning that I find so attractive on these early bust halves.

Nice going, @jaypem. Looks like a wonderful coin. And a very cool die marriage. A true O.112a.

Absolutely!
Actually almost passed on it based on these TV's.. the color looks cool but the coin looked way too mushy.
I found a not great slab shot on HA though and had reason to believe that the details were going to be just fine 😊
Gotta get it down to you before too long 🙂

I love those die cracks! Awesome!
Nice coin, and glad you found such a good one so fast.... Cheers, RickO
Awesome coin Jay! Great look for the grade, and excellent looking surfaces!!
The 11-112a is one of the Crack Queens, for sure!
And as Lance said, yours is a true 112a. There a few out there labeled as such that are not. The last known crack at this time is on the reverse from the D across the top of STAT, and that has to be there for the "a" designation.
Yours is gorgeous. If it gets the LanceView treatment, please update us!!
Mine is a little higher grade, as I somehow lucked into a mid-AU. I posted a thread shortly after I purchased her, and there are a few others worth looking at in there as well, IMO

That is really a great coin. I call that the wholesome look and it draws me in every time for bust quarters......
Best, SH
She’s beautiful, Jordy!
Great pick up…nice, and original!
And yes, a true O.112a!
