I’m on my way to FUN…Show report added

I am waiting at the gate to board my flight for Orlando and the FUN show.
Excited? Yes
Nervous? A little…
Disappointed? Some. I wish I could have chatted with a few dealers who won’t be there .
Early Bird? Is there any other way?
Itching to buy something? You betcha!
I’m vaccinated, boostered, and masked, with lots of hand sanitizer.
If you’re going to be there, pls PM me.
I hope to meet more forum members.

Keep your mask over your nose and don't get into any brawls on the flight!
Lee, Sounds like you're ready. I'm kinda jealous. Wheel and deal and please report back, if you can. Peace Roy

Enjoy the show. A report with pictures would be most welcome. Hopefully you packed some
spot remover for the obligatory mustard stain. Safe travels.
I just got back from some Heritage lot viewing at the convention center. The person watching me said yesterday was a little slow but the room was mostly full this morning looking at the coins and currency. The 11 lots I wanted to see were in 5 different boxes so had a little time to talk to the guy between boxes. An interesting conversation with him about Orlando conventions and his part time work with the staffing company. I waited a few minutes for the last box as someone else was looking at it, I told him it was only going to get busier.
I’m jumping on a plane for Orlando at midnight. Looking forward to lot viewing, talking to dealers, drinking beer, playing golf and avoiding omi.
Stop by, im at table 234!
Nice!
I'm not prioritizing any buys and opted to skip this year, but I usually go. Nothing like that kind of selection to be viewed in hand under loupe.
Hey vest pocket dealer I brought some coins to sell/trade

Good luck. Before covid hit my house I was supposed to leave today at 630pm. Have been getting updates that due to "staff shortages" my flight is delayed
So glad I am sitting at home in front of the fire with a good book
which airline?
Frontier. Out of milwaukee. Tickets were only 61 dollars round trip so I never tried to get a refund. Maybe if they cancel the flight I will get a refund
At this point only 30 minutes.
I’m now sitting in Atlanta at my gate awaiting my Orlando flight on Delta. All going smoothly from my city of origin.

Party!
Great to meet you lee!
Heritage lot viewing this evening. Pretty slow in the room. This years location for FUN was a hike! The OCC has two huge buildings. In 2020, pre Covid, FUN was held in the East West building between the two Rosen hotels. This year it’s being held across the street in the North South building, BUT on the backside of the building. The FUN organization was put in the back 40 this year. Doesn’t seem right with their long history in Orlando but it looked to me like the Surf Show took up nearly all of the East West building.
That Surf Show has been there as long as I can remember. There was always lottsa eye candy strutting the halls if you were board with the coin show!
Have fun be safe.
Hoard the keys.
It's also good of you're bored with the coin show.

When going to FUN on Universal drive you have to turn into the parking lot on the west side of the building, it looks like the east side is for the surf show

And be sure to ask each dealer about his personal views on masking and vaccines.
Latin American Collection
I had a great time at Early Bird last night. EB is the way to go!
Most tables were staffed, but there were a lot of empty ones too. Lots of business being done. Let’s see what happens today.
Randy Campbell said the FUN board was happy with the turnout. Many “no shows” due to cancelled flights not COVID.
I bought a 1776 Mexico 2 Reales from John / CRO. I already have the 8 R. IMO, this is a cool piece of history!
There were very few colonial Latin American portraits with any originality. Most were bright shiny white (Ricko would have loved them!) or way too
I am supposed to meet several forum members today. PM me if you will be at the show and would like to meet.
Dude, surfs up!
@Yorkshireman.... Thanks for the EB report... Keep up the good work. Glad to see there were some untarnished coins available...
Cheers, RickO
Here's some eye candy

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Thank you Zoins! I ordered one in a NGC holder. Surfing in coins, why not?!
Pretty decent public turnout today. Busier than I anticipated. Also more dealers present than I expected.
World NCLT. Traditionalists hate it. But it is soooooo fun!
First FUN show newp. 1832 o-117 R4+ …edit… looks better in hand than in pics 😒

@Pnies20 - was that a cherry pick, since the variety isn’t noted on the insert?
I would say no. It’s a sneaky tough coin but doesn’t break the bank.
