These coins were sent in for review. At this point, I believe the Lincoln is SMS, maybe the quarter, The half possibly from same dies with added polishing, Similar to the 1921 Vam 1H story. I recently checked a few other kennedy half dollars and at this point understand certain hidden markers are on these coins.
The special surfaces consist of tiny scribble with lots of tiny numbers all over the entire surfaces giving a pattern is a major part. Each is marked as well. Viewing each graded example images, in certain locations these marks differ so that each is unique in that respect. I will be posting images of this coin today.
Has anyone ever seen a 1964 D Satin Kennedy? I was looking at one I have that has the same exact pattern but it is a Denver. I will post images of this as well.
Thank You All..
Bob
OK, I'll try again, you said these coins were sent in for review, does this mean you sent them to PCGS?
Does this forum have an ignore feature? I must be on it, maybe someone else can ask him if he sent the coins to PCGS?

DID YOU SEND THEM TO PCGS? 😉
Thanks James
What difference does it make?
Do you have a question as to whether the coins are SMS examples?
Do you think that if they have been submitted and PCGS designates them as normal business strikes, you'll hear back from the OP?

No sir. I was asking for a friend. Sorry 😉
Slow morning on the forum and I get easily distracted 🤙
Don't be sorry. I was just trying to save you from (probable) additional frustration.
Sorry, that would be my question, and I do have a purpose. I just want to know if this is truly someone who believes this, story?, or is yanking our chains. If he truly sent it to PCGS then I would conclude he truly believes it and would treat him accordingly. What exactly does sent for review mean? Sent to PCGS? Sent to 97 year old Aunt Gertrude for her opinion? I think it would demonstrate his seriousness in the matter. If truly sent, then wait for them to come back, then post the results. A refusal to answer the simple question of whether or not it was sent, doesn’t sound like someone who is serious about it at all.

Considering the OP has chosen to dismiss the opinions of some of the top experts in the hobby in this thread, I suspect if he did submit them, PCGS will simply be wrong when they certify them as business strikes.
Reminds me of a guy that sat down at the table with a collection of bust halves, all notated with things that weren't actually visible on the coins themselves. He started our conversation by taking out the Overton book and saying "Overton got all of these wrong." The following 3 hours with him remind me of this thread. Fortunately it was a slow show.

If the poster is sincere, he'll answer the question as to whether he has submitted the coins for grading. And if he has, he'll update the forum, once he obtains the results. However, if he's not sincere, his answers wont matter, anyway.

If he's yanking our change, he can easily lie about sending it in.

"Sent in for review" does sound a bit suspicious.
Most people use words like "authentication" or "grading", not "review", if they are sending to PCGS or similar TPG.
They just think that every coin dated 1964 is a SMS coin.
