I’m 66 and retired 7 years ago….there aren’t enough hours in the day for everything that I am involved in….coins, slot cars (Carrera 1/24 scale), guns (not a hunter, but have several ARs and pistols with way too much ammo and my great great grandfathers civil war pistol), photography (Canon with all the big white lenses to the widest wide angle and everything in between), Cars (1960 Corvette, building a 1963 split window Corvette, 1930 Ford Model A street Rod and my wife’s 1937 Ford with a 396 Supercharger), sold my 2015 Corvette Z06 to order a new 2023 Corvette Z06 and finally machine shop with new knee mill and a 14x40 lathe. There isn’t enough time in a day!
I went to World Headquarters last week to give them my one year notice and that I would be retiring early sometime in 2022. I ended up leaving with a 5 year deal that I couldn't refuse. They keep pulling me back in. 2026 here I come!

Company recently got me to reconsider staying longer with added incentives, and I told them I'd try for three more. So, current parachute date is in 10/2024

In the last four months, I had one friend who died of a heart attack and another who had surgery for colon cancer. Considering my own medical adventure two years ago, I have to say- as much as I like what I do, I just don't want to have to do it eight hours a day, five days a week anymore. I'm looking forward to late morning walks in the park with my dogs and afternoon naps in the sun on my front porch.
I am 70 years old and have been happily retired for 15 years. Except for 2018 when our home burned down. I’m happy to say we have recovered for the most part. Thanks to some great people right here on this forum that help us tremendously ❤️
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
I'm not sure if I can handle retirement. I cut back to four hours a day at the beginning of the year and work remotely from wherever I am, which can be anywhere in the U.S. I can get an internet connection. Morning, afternoon, evening doesn't matter as long as I do the 4 hours. Forty years with the company has its benefits.

25 years absolute tops. Likely 20 years. Might be sooner if I keep doing so well with coins. There's a world where I retire in 12 years but that seems like a dream, things would have to go perfectly. I estimate our mortgage has about 16.5 years left on it so once that's gone, my annual expenses will drop quite a bit.

Retired this past August at 62 from a career I loved and worked in for 28 years. It took me about 5 weeks and a trip to Italy to forget I even worked for the company. It’s like dream come true.
Between 5-10 years. Depends on if work stays as fun as it is now, how investments pan out, the state of the world, health, a solid income bridge plan, etc.
I've been retired over 14 years and I've never been busier.

I officially retired just over 13 years ago... Then did consulting for a few years...Now work a few days a week as a firearms instructor and Range Officer....Very busy on days I do not work... how did I ever work full time? Probably will always be doing some sort of work... Keeps me off the streets and out of the bars. Life is great... Cheers, RickO

Almost 70 and working harder than ever. Guess I’ll retire when I’m 6 feet under 😉

Four more years is the current goal. The nice this is that its really any day I get fed up with the job... or the politics around it.

The field of coin dealer does not come with retirement - they didn’t mention that in your coin dealer classes?
Getting used to retirment is very difficult.
It took me almost 2 weeks.

Too many variables in play to say, truly. Earliest possibility is fall of 2026 but it's possible I could work 15 more years or even longer.

59 1/2 is the goal. I'm 51 now.
