When I see the die cracks I swear they look like they would break! Keep them coming! These are great!
Die cracks resulting in a terminal shattered die are only part of the natural abuse imposed on this innocent CWT by an uncaring die sinker -- perhaps he was too busy selling made-to-order MS67s out of the alley door to tend to the work at hand:
I have posted this "die crack" before and I thought that it was a smudge or crack on the holder, but after cleaning it was not. It is definitely on the coin. At normal 4 inch distance photo it clearly appears to be a die crack, enlarged it still appears to be a die crack, but enlarged with a microscope it goes away, although you can still see a disturbance in the metal along with a lower die crack and a higher die crack, much smaller in thickness. What do you think?
Thanks...Jim

Love this thread! Die cracks are very cool in my eyes and give a coin a specific character.
