New Pickup - 1825 Half Cent

I picked this up because I really liked the surfaces (for old copper), and the mintage is very low at 63,000. I believe the only lower mintage is from 1831 with a measly 2,200.
The variety is Cohen 2, where the lowest lock of hair hangs past the 5 in the date. Not sure which is rarer, C-1 or C-2. Regardless, I’m happy to add to my collection.
Guess the grade if you’d like.

Very nice pickup! I say 55.
I would agree with the AU55 estimate.... Also would say that the green (verdigris?) in the stars on the obverse may need some attention (restoration), though what remains may not be attractive. Cheers, RickO

Your C-2 is rated R-1. C-3 is scarcer at R-3.
Hey, great guesses everyone pretty darn accurate as usual. She’s in a AU 53 holder. I have a heckuva time trying to get a good photo of it, not as easy as silver.
