A late Tuesday delivery. We will call it a September pickup.
A Cale Makar RPA from 19/20 Chronology. 11/35. Beautiful patch and clean auto.
I was going to try and hold out for 8s or at least nice 7.5s on these but a seller I use a lot @bbcemporium had both so it was simple as shooting Curt an email and having these delivered a few days later
@rexvos Curt is great to deal with, those Gibby's are nice!
@rexvos nice gibsons!
My favorite card of the "Sultan of Swat". A recent pick up with strong centering.
Chris - that is a blazer of a Ruth. Centering, color, and surface are outstanding- what kept it from an 8? Lower left corner maybe. Hard to find a better one IMO.
Oh My God! You can shut this thread down right now no one is going to top that card this month! Holy Chit!! Nice card, congrats!!
That Ruth - I have no words. Amazing card.
I can!
Andy
Phillies fan.. My apologies.

First off, an explanation:
In 1976-1977, the Russian Hockey All-Stars did a tour of the US, playing exhibition games against various US pro teams. One of the games was in San Diego, against the WHA SD Mariners. This is a ticket stub from that game. But, what makes the game interesting, beyond the 6-3 final score for the Russians, is this:
The (then) KGB Chicken almost caused an international incident before the game even began. The champion Russian hockey team was not amused about the red chicken sporting the letters KGB across his chest, mocking their goalie behind the glass and hexing all their skaters and even mooning them.
When it was time for the game to begin, the Russians refused to leave their dressing room. They sent word that they would only take the ice when “that fowl” was removed from the premises. They had had enough of the insulting Chicken, who they believed was hired for the evening to ridicule them with his “KGB” logo on his vest. "KGB" was the call-letters of the local FM radio station that employed The Chicken.
The game was delayed 20 minutes. A meeting under the grandstands to straighten things out was convened among the coaches, ambassadors, executives, and interpreters. The Russians came to finally understand that it would make bigger news if The Chicken was evicted from the arena and that his KGB insignia had nothing to do with their spy agency. Grudgingly, they relented and The Chicken was allowed to stay. Flustered as they were, the Russians fell behind early in the game before coming back to win it handily.
“I had no idea at the time I was the focus of their ire!,” said Ted Giannoulas, the man inside the chicken suit.
Attendance at the game was 13,029 people.

Very nice. Jealous of you!
Love this and the Carter above. 84 Donruss are very pleasant to my eyes.
Mail day count? My vintage sub just got delivered; wanted to share my lone 9’er with y’all! Pop 17 now, none higher! Only had time to look at the one card before finishing my lunch lol
Love Rocky!!!....they just unveiled a statue of him in Little Italy in Cleveland.
Awesome!
pack pull today
Finally George signs his correct first name... Pop 6, 2 higher. The grey borders on this are a killer. In general the 2000’s Bowman Griffey cards are all low pop.
194/221 (87.8%) in the JR Basic Set!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - 1984 was a high point in card design for Topps, Fleer and Donruss. It can be argued that each 1984 set was the best looking design of the decade for each company (not to mention the best update set ever in 1984 Fleer as well as the introduction of Topps Tiffany).
if this guy is your fantasy QB this season, i think your Sundays are going to be very enjoyable
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Are you working on his basic set?

My PSA collecting is 99% slabbed autographs. I have recently been getting into signed business cards. These were all from a recent sub. Michael Eisner (very difficult to find a signed Disney card), Clive Davis, Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe are the highlights for me.
Here’s a few more highlights from my sub!
There’s definitely a few I’ll probably send in for review, especially the ‘59’s which look phenomenal. Overall on the sub, I had 35/79 that are PSA 8 or better, so Still pretty thrilled!
Yeah, I put in a request for it last night. I mainly got those for my team sets but between them, the UD I got the other day and a couple of others I had I though I'd go ahead and request to have it added to the registry.

I picked up a couple rare Jordans this month. They are sitting at PSA, waiting on a working debit card.
