So, I think it might be interesting to hear people's thoughts about how they'd grade this coin. I'll post the result within 24 hours. It's in PCGS plastic, a newer blue holder, IIRC.

Looks like maybe a few tiny spots of wear on the reverse. Could be the photo.
AU58 if wear. If not MS64? Its really nice either way.

Not my series, but looks to be 65. Swap the obverse and reverse and it might even get a plus or a bump.

Would you have posted anything less, I think not. I don’t know buffs just yet but I’ll go 58+ for the rub.

    I like is as 65+

It's been clashed but that in no way affects the grade.

65/66...the issue is usually a bit subdue in luster so it could go 66.

    I don't see any wear.

Nice luster, clean surfaces, strike is typical for this date (type 1)... It should grade MS65 but I've seen similar pieces in 66.

@BryceM higher or lower? Everything from 64 to 66+ has been covered by guesses.

It looks a lot like my 1913 T1 in a rattler holder, 65 gold CAC, which I think would grade 67.

    So I'll say 67.

MS63. I have a similar Buff and although essentially mark free, it was penalized (severely IMO) for a weak strike. This example reminds me of it. The obverse strike is quite weak.

    Arright so here it is......

The grade of this coin is interesting to me and it has given me cause for some internal debate. In-hand, the coin is deeply, magnificently lustrous, which is always hard to display in a static photo. It's not as colorful as some, but eye appeal is really nice. It's very clearly mint-state and has no areas where the luster is broken.

So, the device detail, especially around "LIBERTY" and "1913" could be better. I have always assumed that this was strike weakness, but, I'm interested to hear thoughts on other possibilities. Die erosion? Can a 67+ really have strike weakness? Is this coin otherwise an MS68 (~$10k), held back by lack of detail? I'd love to hear your thoughts.... especially those of the buff specialists out there.

All 1913 Var 1 thru 1915 Buffs show weakness in LIBERTY. This was corrected in 1916 when the obv master die was reworked to improve strike qualities and die life. Your coin is a little weaker than most in that area. It also shows a little weakness at the lower left of the date, which is not unusual. That superior luster must be primarily responsible for the lofty grade. It is a very nice coin.

Nice coin, I didn't realize your original photos were links and I guessed the graded based on those smaller images.

Not sure of the criteria for Buffaloes, but Roosie dimes graded 67+ can most assuredly display (sometimes significant) strike weakness.

67+ - WOW - congrats. And that's why I'm not a grader on Buffs - LOL!!! Once again, the dreaded "Weak Strike" raises it's ungradable head.

I absolutely love 1913 T1 Buffs, and I think this one is very desireable, but not as a 67+. I obviously am not a worthwhile grader of high grade nickels, but still I would not want this coin at that grade.
