A nice Unc coin, the kids take it out on the cast front porch and play with it. Dad comes home and catches it with his foot and slips it off onto the leading sidewalk to the stairs, hearing it bounce, he turns and retrieves the coin; screams out ahhh S...t and that's were I see the "S" coming in.

Yep! that bounce on the sidewalk seems to have relocated a few around the V.D.B as well

Kinda reminds me how I ruined my Uncle's Lionel steam engine by taking it outside and rolling it on the concrete sidewalk.

John Ford relayed a story about a fake coin, I have to find the story, where Ford acetone treated a mint mark at a show. He then walked the coin back over to the clandestine dealer and the dealer exclaimed "quick give me the "d" back" or whatever the mint mark was.
I'll find the story and the coin details silver/ whatever.
Someone mentioned trains?
I recently sold a 1940's Louis Marx train set on ebay that had been in our family sense the Mid 60's that I know of, more of that story is in the ebay description https://www.ebay.com/itm/265229455386
But, in that train set was some odd 0-scale Lionel train items that I still have! (No Steam Engine) see pictures below.
If anyone here would be willing to pay the actual shipping for these items I would give them to them?
The rail cars look fully functional, the transformer looks good but its untested, the transformer is pretty heavy so the lot may cost a fair amount to ship according to were in the US its going.

S? Nope - What I can see in the reverse picture, seems to be the Philly "VDB"

Well you can buy the whole wheel for $400

From the obverse, the coin seems to be made out of wood, so the S might have easily been chipped off.
Maybe Teddy can provide an "S" for this coin.
Well the VDB was a San Fransisco mint before it hit the sidewalk, so it being a Has Been should still make it worth $400.00

Had I touched my Dad's Lionel train caboose, I would not have made into double digits, much less if I had touched his Lionel engines.
