I appreciate the kind words Tim but there couldn't be a better home for it. Plus, I still have my W502 Three Bagger Gehrig, one of the rarest backs in all of baseball cards.
This is a 1937 Lucky Heart premium of Joe Louis. Lucky Heart was a hair product/beauty product company out of Memphis. This is, I believe, either the second or third example known to exist. It's one of my favorite pieces in my entire collection and need to get it slabbed someday.
This is a rotogravure by the artist D.H. Murnik out of San Francisco, probably around the same time as the Lucky Heart premium. The quality of the image is remarkable and comes from the etching process of creating the rotogravure. I know of two of these (I found both, sold one to a friend) along with the smaller card underneath it, which is between a normal card size and a post card size.
This is a Sunnyhurst Dairy Farms premium from the 1960s depicting Rocky Marciano. Proof that Marciano would lend his name and image to anything so long as the check cleared.
If one were so inclined, one could consider this a Joe Louis RC. A premium from the Detroit Free Press in 1935.
Oddball issues are what I live for. I have too many to scan. I have more recently gotten into Seattle 70s/80s oddball food and similar issues after living here my whole life and missing most of it when it was live. Fred Meyer photos (Sonics, Mariners, Seahawks, Blazers), 7UP Seahawks Cards and Postcards, Nalley Potato Chip Box poster cards (Mariners/Seahawks), Mariners BW Team issue Fan Mail Post cards, Sunbeam/Surfresh Bread cards (Sonics), Microsonics Program insert cards and other goodies.
Of course, lots and lots of Dodger oddballs and just about anything else that didn't come from a regular pack of cards. All sports/All Teams. I am not picky when it comes to neat oddballs.
Ryan is quick on the draw to show his rare Garvey stuff, so I don't need to rehash what he shows, but that is my primary subject. I did just get this and I don't recall ever seeing another before for sale. It's not a card, but a dul sided poster.
I collect Steve Garvey, Dodgers and signed cards. Collector since 1978.

That's great! I've never seen one of those before. Where do you come up with this stuff? I wanna hang out with you when you go shopping.
Hi, I wasn't aware of three variations. From what I have read on previous posts that there were two variations of the Mantle and it was based on the size of the facsimile autograph. On yours you can tell that the autograph is larger in size that the one that I have. Phil

I have a ton I could share, but my favorite regional issue is 1933 Uncle Jack’s Candy (from Rhode Island). Here’s my Foxx. Last I knew, there were only 2 slabbed by PSA.
Great card, Dan and nice to see you posting again. I've been wondering where you've been.
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.

Thanks Todd. Life gets hectic sometimes and cards take a back seat. My appearances will prob be intermittent for another month or so, but still love cardboard and CU.
1985-86 Provigo Patrick Roy pre rookie puffy sticker. Provigo is a Quebec grocery chain and produced team sets of both the Canadiens and Nordiques for this issue. It took me close to 20 years to locate this Roy and it’s the only one graded by BGS as far as I know. (PSA wouldn’t encapsulate it at the time.)

Hah...No secrets here, actually I am probably a little too old school. I get most everything from ebay. I don't make time to search all the corners of the internet for neat stuff, although that is probably how most of the hard core collectors are able to make headway when they get to the end. It's nice to see a few unique items popping up from time to time, but most of it is the same old stuff time and time again.
I have had a few people reach out to me through my blog, but that typically doesn't provide for much, if anything. Perhaps if I were more active, it would pay off more. Sites like these are pretty good at times too, if people know and remember what you primarily collect. Sometimes someone will offer me something.

I present you Braves/Cubs versions. The 1993 Lykes standard is exceedingly rare, there is one other graded but I am not sure if it is the perforated which is fairly hard to come by. The 1999 Skybox Molten Metal Oh Atlanta was given away at the National. The 1994 Lykes standard features Chipper's first appearance on the issue.
The Topps Archives Chicago Cubs was given away as sets on four different dates. Season ticket holders received complete sets with the foil stamp. I may be the only one who thought to get them slabbed as these remain the only graded copies!

maybe this counts as regional? an actual number grade is kinda obscure, i guess.
