@jmlanzaf When 90% goes negative enough (or stays negative with lower silver prices) I may have to buy some replacement Walkers. It's getting to a point where those are almost 100 years old.

Halves have a different number. Halves are still at +$0.75, down from +$11 about a month or so ago.

Sounds about right. When silver was at $18.50 I was paid $210-220 a roll for halves. With about 7.15 oz per roll, that's about $29 and change per oz. Crazy that as silver went up, prices came down (a lot).

It's really more about the rapidity of the drop to me. I mean, I never understood why the high premiums persisted for 2 years. But they evaporated in the matter of 2 weeks after being high for 2 years.
It's kind of why this thread amuses me. While people are cheering the rise in silver, all my dealer friends are bemoaning the fact that the price has been dropping.
It does make you wonder how many people bought at $18 and think they've made money at $24 when they would really be lucky to be even. As you pointed out, you got 21.50x face when silver was at 18.50. Today, with silver at $24, you would get 18x face. So, if you had bought a roll back then at about $225 to $230, you could only sell it today at $180 - a 22% loss when silver went UP almost 30%.
People stacking silver eagles were buying them at $30 when silver was $19 and now can only sell them at $28 with silver at $24.

Well now
Today’s moment in time is one I just love seeing, even for a second. Just looky at silver . $24+ is very nice indeed
I know I've said it before, but I would stop using that site. It's designed to make you overpay for bullion. The highest ASK price of the day is only $24.22. They use a future month rather than COMEX to sell their bullion products at a slightly higher number.
LOL.
Was wondering how I got tagged into that response and wewnt back a few pages to double check, then realized you probably forgot to edit my name out in the quote.
Anyways, the Gold and Silver are inching up at 4:40 PM EST with Silver at $23.70 and Gold at %1,810.38 even as markets all over were also starting to go up today.
I do not take anything from this. Just thought it was kind of coincidental.
6 month gold starts and ends at about the same amount. Trends down and then up.
1 year gold starts and ends at about the same amount. Trend up and then down for the first six months.
Kind of like a sin wave (a very rough wave though).
.
Liked it better down in the $1600. I want to add the 1oz to my collection but not looking to pay $2800+ for an oz of it. Premiums are way too high on those. Need a nice spot price drop on a Wednesday when they recalc mint prices.
Suspect the triple whammy of good news may be playing a role. (The football player who recovered, the House no longer divided, and an Idaho predator no longer loose.)
_silver is doing the rollercoaster $24.30-23.75. But gold is really hanging hard at 1880+. Just seeing $1900. 😁. Yippee because where gold goes silver will follow. _

But, yikes, palladium and gold are almost inverted. Palladium cheaper than gold🤔

Silver was past $24 and Gold at $1830 a little after 10 am eastern today......................
