And one that has both on the same coin. The reverse is not what most people expect a doubled die to look like. It's what's known as a Class VI, or distended hub doubled die, where the lettering and to a lesser degree the design elements are distorted. It's very strong, and all 1934 DDO-001 are early die states when combined with this reverse. Only about 10% of the 1934 DDO-001 are paired with the DDR reverse. It's one of the few US coins that shows a strong doubled die on both sides.
I love this one. It is the only successful purchase I have had from making an offer through Heritage on a coin previously auctioned. 1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS64 Brown PCGS. Ex: Heritage 1/17: 3324.
Do foreign coins count? This one puts US doubled dies to shame. The entire current series of Brazilian coins from 1 centavo to 1 real have some outstanding stuff.
koynekwest - Your foreign coin reminded me of this one I have. I don't even know what it is. I couldn't tell you which is the Obv and Rev. But it looks doubled!
Here is a nicely toned 1930 doubled die obverse, Die #6 Buffalo. The doubling is most evident at the eye but it can also be seen on the forehead directly above the nose and on the large feather.

That's a nice one, USSID17! I need to get some of my stuff out of the safe deposit box and image them.
I gotta research and find out what coin/country it is?!?!?!
It doesn't show well in the image but this is a big time doubled die reverse. It's quite rare. Unfortunately this one has been cleaned.
