Post #20,000... took more than half a lifetime to get here, but here we are!
I joined the CU boards in October, 2001 as a 14-year-old high school freshman. I don't remember how I stumbled upon the site, but somehow I did. In the ensuing years--more than half of my lifetime--I've learned a ton, hopefully contributed a bit, and most importantly, met many great people, a number of whom I've also met in person. With the support of members here, I started a business as a high school sophomore which is still going strong, and it was a great help in earning me the funds to support not just my collection, but also to get my pilot's license when I was in college and helped me to put a down payment on my house. The generosity of board members who have supported various charitable pursuits over the years is something I'll appreciate forever.
I don't know how long it will take me to get another 20,000 (or even 10,000) posts, but I've certainly enjoyed the journey thus far. The coins are great, but the people and camaraderie is even better, so thanks to everyone here for helping make this place what it is.

Congrats, 20,000 is quite the accomplishment. With your average of 1,000 posts/year you will need to step it up a few notches if you are going to pass @ricko.

Don't worry, I have you covered. Winner must make change.

hey Jeremy,
I remember well when you joined, on the old boards your favorite line was "cool".
Everyone liked you, you even got cameo appearance's on Clankeye's tales quite often.
We knew you were going places.
I agree with others here, it has been pleasure always.
Great post!

I still don't know how that started. I don't remember saying it until after Clank made it my catch phrase
If I had started in HS I would have been banned the same year
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS is in order.
Clank figured you correctly a YN, and I know you used that one line response a number of times, I suppose when you got older you auto-dropped it.
Congratulations, Jeremy.
To say that you've come a long way wouldn't do justice to what you've accomplished. Keep enjoying it.

Jeremy starts posting at 14 and at "half a life time" has reached 20,000 posts. at "half of life span" how many posts will have been made?
Starting at 14 and living till 100 will be 86,000. That means @Ricko is 200 years old
Edit: You said half, so first half of 100 36,000.
Congratulations!

Congratulations, Jeremy! It's been great knowing you all these years.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Congratulations Jeremy. You were and still are one of my favorite members here. Even when I first found this place a few years after you, before you went to college, you were wise beyond your years and always shared your thoughts and knowledge well.
While you may have better grown into your wisdom, you still share your knowledge and thoughts and opinions well.

Keep up the good work! 👍
It's been a pleasure getting to know you both on the Forum and in person.
Hope to live long enough to reach 20k!
