My #1 Iowa and my #2 Lincoln, both raw off of eBay. My top Lincoln is being graded by our host at the moment. I'll post a TrueView of my best Lincoln in a few months when it becomes available.
I have only four classic commems left. This one, the smooth Maine, and two nicely toned 1926 Sesqui $2.50.

I very much like the variety of commemorative designs. I guess that's why colonials and patterns also call to me as a collector. Anyway, here is a nice (IMHO) Antietam, MS67 CAC.

Great coin and great point! All of these have nice, varying designs!
Actually, the proliferation of these commemoratives due to politics and corruption make them more collectible to me. Being able to collect an "Oregon Set" or "Texas Set" is a fun collecting endeavor now. And where else would we celebrate a man (allegedly) known for saying "There is a sucker born every minute"
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Nice coins and holders! Love the original Lexington box @clarke442! Are these boxes US Mint issue? Or were they provided by distributors? I always assumed they were official but it would be nice to know for sure!

Here it is after a long wait (5 months in grading). AU53.
An MS63 Pan Pac off of eBay for under $200. Bidders may have been steered away by the crusty toning and the inability of the seller's photos to capture the underlying, cartwheeling luster.

Here are some other coins for the mobs to melt down.
We do want to forget Stonewall Jackson,
slavers Washington and Jefferson,
Indian haters and killer Christopher Columbus and accomplice Queen Isabela,
and the most hated president Abraham Lincoln, causing the most deadly war in American history.

@ErrorsOnCoins Thanks Chris!
You are welcome
A few years ago, our family bought tickets to go and went up in that tower, very cool and informative tour.
I was just waiting for someone to bring this up. But, I guess anything to increase the rarity of these coins....
My one and only commem is a Bay Bridge MS65 CAC in a PCGS rattler.
Umm, Washington is shown with Gilbert du Motier, the Marquis de Lafayette, not Thomas Jefferson.
Super looking Bay Bridge. One of my favorite issues.
Yes, that was confusing, You need to look at the next two pictures in the same "frame."
Great looking coin but it could use a quick dip.

Commems and Early Type
This coin was sent to the plastic factory in 1990 and came back as a MS66 when that was the highest grade for any Bay Bridge.
I like the look of this holder!
Here's a couple more that are fun:

(not my coin - but wish it was!)
That Grant with Star has more eye appeal than some MS66s I've seen. Very nice.
Just to clear things up. Jefferson in on the Louisiana Purchase Exposition gold dollar.

1920 Pilgrim Commemorative Half Dollar
grade: PCGS MS68 POP 3/0
cert: https://www.pcgs.com/cert/43994209
pedigree: J&L
Here's a gorgeous Pilgrim half dollar which is a new addition to the J&L Set!
What's interesting is that there are 3 MS68s but none in the Heritage and Stack's archives.
I have a few circulated Pilgrims and need to step up my game!
Classic Commemoratives finally appear to be ascending. This just sold at auction for $900. PCGS price guide puts it at $650
No need to look away with dismay, it has earned a green sticker LOL
