Here's my most recent (and one of my now-favorites), with a ~150 year pedigree stretching back to the Grand Duke Alexandre Michailovitch of Russia and the Jameson collection:
Pantikapaion Stater (Gold, 9.09 g 2), c. 350. Head of bearded Pan with goat’s ear and unkempt hair to left. Rev. Horned griffin, with its head facing and a spear in its mouth, standing to left on stalk of wheat. Gulbenkian 580. Jameson 2144 (this coin). Prinkipo 166. SNG BM 855. Extremely rare. With a head of Pan of remarkably fine style and delicacy. Minor scrapes on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

It's new in the sense that it is newly slabbed and back in my possession as of yesterday. MS-65 BN, picked out of a "box o' foreign coins" at a shop in Lafayette, IN in July.
Picked up this coin today happy with it breaks all my rules of staying away from authentic graded coins and not been a very scarce or rarer coin either from the Cap and Ray series. Don't care I am happy with it the 1st I own from this mint. I don't think I can collect with all these rules I will buy what makes me happy. Does not have any chop marks on it that is cool to me since most of the coins from this mint went to Asia and have chop marks.

That 1877 Ho AF looks decent in the photo. Does it appear to be harshly cleaned in hand?
Have not received it but the images look nice. I know I should be buying the highest grades I can afford but with a series as large as the 8 Reales I am just happy to own what I can get that looks nice enough. I rather numerical grades and will continue to aim for them but will not pass up on authentic either. I think moving forward I will expand my options with 8 Reales I was going to only stick with 1732-1821 but that will be my main focus and I also enjoy the 1822-1897 so will add those as well. I figure in 10-15 years I will have a large collection that I will be happy with.
As for 4 Reales will add some here and there they are not my main focus but I do enjoy them. Will I ever have a complete series of any of these most likely never but that is OK.
This isn't a new purchase, but is newly slabbed. My records show that I bought it on May 22, 1973 for the princely sum of $4.00. It was marked as BU, but I always suspected it was a proof, based on the sharp strike and squared rims. Sure enough, it came back as PR64RB.
I could have gotten better coins in the last few months but spent 1500$ or more on books to gain knowledge of the Mexican series I collect. One book left at 400$ or so then full focus just buying coins.
I am happy with my books and will keep them for my entire life but looking forward to just focusing on coins. The last remaining book may tale a while to locate not many around. That is fine by me I can wait.
thanks for making this thread @KingOfMorganDollar - have always felt a lil weird sharing my world purchases in the us forum, even tho everyone seems ok about it, so will do my best to post those here
have been working on a few british moderns recently and will share em this weekend if I can carve out a window to take some mediocre smartphone photos 🥸
It seems I am now collecting the Taisho 5 (1916) pattern series, having bought 4 in the Jacobs sale and now this one. This pattern 5 Sen is exactly the same design as the issued coin, but dated a year before the issue started (which was Taisho 6 or 1917).
The Jacobs coin was only XF-AU (unslabbed) and this one is much nicer! The stains in the nickel are hardly visible in hand. It is literally dripping with luster (not captured in the photo). And did I mention extremely rare?
