Welcome back RYK! I own no DOGS - animal, coin, or bitcoin (DOGE). But, I still do own my prized A&R half you graciously sold to me many years ago for which I am grateful. Good to see you here again.
Not an OGH but all old worn gold is precious. I love artifacts of history and actual circulation demonstrates that history and sparks my imagination way more than any UNC ever could. When coins are cleaned, much if not all of that history is stripped away. This one takes me back to a young mint and an recently setteled Wild West

That's an attractive coin, RYK, as well as the others that were posted. The latest EB from CRO had a few really nice dirty gold pieces, but they were on hold already.

First, very happy to see the OP posting. Always enjoyed your posts.
Now the coin I am posting doesn’t meet that many of your criteria.
Is it old gold ✔️
Is it in an OGH ❌, but I feel it is a cool holder
Is it a US coin ❌
But did it arrive in the mail today and am I excited to share it ✔️
Is it something you don’t see every day ✔️
So here goes. My new DOG:
Love that 45!

@RYK That calls for a "Welcome Back, DOG!"
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”
