I have all my childhood complete Star Wars sets from 1977 (blue, red, yellow, green and orange) along with all my complete Empire Strikes Back cards from 1980 (red, blue, yellow sets) and my 1983 Return of the Jedi sets (red and blue). I also have 3 complete Wacky Packages sets from the 1970's, Complete 1966 Batman sets (black, red and blue along with the TV series set. These are not in great condition though. I also have the complete Superman the movie, Superman 2, and Superman 3 card sets. I was also lucky enough to pick up unopened boxes from all the Star Wars sets, Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi before they got out of hand with the prices (excluding the blue, red and yellow series)

Collecting Yankees and vintage Star Wars

I love those Zep cards! I also love the hand drawn cards like the above Pearl Harbor, American Presidents, Civil War, etc...

I am currently collecting the 1990 MARVEL UNIVERSE cards. I didn't realize how expensive the PSA 10's go for.

Successful coin BST transactions with Gerard and segoja.

Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.

You are very lucky, most of mine are lost and all of the sticker ones ended up on my dresser draws, especially the wacky packages.

Legit as in licensed? Legitimately cool? On legit card time period authentic type stock? Something else?

Legit as in licensed or legitimately cool or both?

was technically asking if legitimately issued. they are definitely legitimately cool. but i collect music cards and was going to be genuinely embarrassed had i not known about them if they were legitimately issued.

aha! you mean when we meet up down in d'yer mak'er.

little known fact: it's not actually pronounced "dire maker". the song is zep's reggae nod and the title is actually pronounced "jermaicaer" w an english accent. ie, jamaica. and now you know! 😎

    Correct.

Hence the pun that plays off of “meet your maker”.

  • countdouglascountdouglas Posts: 2,437 ✭✭✭✭✭

I think these are not officially licensed Rolling Stones cards, but some sort of bootlegs. I have a 100 card set with color photos, and a 100 card set with black and white photos. I used to see complete sets on eBay all of the time, but can't recall the last time I've seen anything more than singles from the set, although I admit, I don't really go out of my way to look for them. These are some of my favorites.

  • countdouglascountdouglas Posts: 2,437 ✭✭✭✭✭

Not a card, but kind of a neat item in a local collection that I picked up. It has a hologram sticker on the back and a supposed COA with it, but who knows? The ink appears to be on the photo and not a facsimile.

Here’s more from the first American 007 card set, this time stills from the film From Russia With Love ...

This is my other James Bond #19; this is the one that is home, the other is at PSA now, waiting his turn. This one had a strong wax build up on card front right side that mostly came off with a microfiber cloth but left the mildest of stains right of right shoulder. Still a very pretty card...

...from a really great non-sport set.
