here's a fun one. while the cards and sets are fairly easy to find, the original clam shell w the "miscalculated" number of cards in the set, similar to the stone henge dims, are almost impossible to find!
I do not collect non-sports cards - but have always admired this set. If I ever went that direction this would be my number 1 choice. Thanks for sharing - your set looks amazing.
it seems all things non-sports is booming. stuff from star wars, pokemon, fortnite even rambo stuff is exploding. we talk about how much mantle and stuff has appreciated, but it's crazy to see something like a boba fett rc go from $35 in a psa 8 to $800 in the course of a few months.
with that being said, dug into some of my non sport boxes and pulled these out. "gaming" stuff seems to be crazy as well. stuff like consoles and stuff to but also some of the early cards. these seem to be pretty rare these days. these are the '89 mario bros stickers. range from super mario to double d, to punch out and zelda.
these are actually the opc versions...
gotta a box of 1982 donkey kong stuff to go thru next. correct me if im wrong, but i think they might be the first cards to display "mario", even though he looks a tad different from the super mario versions.
from the 1930 carreras alice in wonderland set. 3 versions to the set: small, small rounded corners & large. one of the very few sets that i like the backs just as much as the front:
How far of a trip? Was the B.A. on the front cover of the box a little groggy from being knocked out for the trip or was it local where it was on the ground the whole time and he was therefore fine and just as salty as ever?

I did this drawing a long time ago (1996). Then I shrank it down to trading card size. This shown is color copy. Not sure where I put thee original ???

I'm surprised that nobody has shown any Beatle cards from the 1960s. I remember buying those as a kid and learning to copy their signatures that they had on the cards. I would probably collect those and I liked the Olivia DeBerardinis pinup cards from the early 1990s.
("Getting the Led out" is a old school Chicago slang from WLUP radio station; every night at 9:00PM Patty Hayes who always sounded Hot in my book; said, "Ok loyal Loopers its time to get the Led out")
By chance would have an Unopened Rack Pack of Zeppelin cards?

I have Star Trek, Star Wars, Vintage Battlestar Galactica. I do not have anything very old. My Battlestar Galactica set is not mint it is very worn, but I still enjoy it. I have not collected cards in so long. Thee cards I would like to save up for now are the Star Trek The Next Generation hologram cards. I see them all the time on Ebay. They are on the back burner for now. Someday I will get all the holograms and feel complete.
I would collect cards that I remember from my childhood. I just grabbed my first non-sport item a few weeks back: A complete set and an unopened pack of 1970 Topps Way Out Wheels. Here is a card from the pack:
