Ok I grew impatient waiting for this 78 thread to end - so the hijack is on Dan.

So, take my 78 Stick McCovey and Dick from 75, add a few 77’s and 79’s, and a terribly OC Ozzie - straight from minty Steve Hart boxes to my home.

The Schmidt looks mint and borderline gem mint. I found a few more cards from your list.

    226 - 234

Very O-Pee-Chee rough right edge on HOF’er Rod Carew. It’s no gem mint but I love it! Nice centering front and back.

Wille Randolph from my beloved Yankees and Mike Willis are super nice specimens. OPC MINT right there.

The legendary Donn Aase could be Gem material!

231 Mike Flanagan has to go. Upgrade needed.

    235 - 242

    The FINAL sheet!
Only the 240 Pete Rose Record Breaker needs to be upgraded from this sheet.

Look at the epic Record Breaker cards of Lou Brock, Sparky Lyle, Willie McCovey, Brooks Robinson, Nolan Ryan, and Reggie Jackson! M I N T!

McCovey I cracked out of a PSA 8 holder. I pulled that card on a break one night held by Kurt Christensen of Ripping Vintage Packs. #RVP

I thought it was a PSA 9 candidate but I’m stoked to return this super fine example back to the wonderful world of raw!

And to put a cap on this wonderful little journey of putting together a higher end 1978 O-Pee-Chee complete set is to include a higher end Wax Pack graded PSA 9 MINT with HOF’er Willie McCovey on top. Tough grade to pull!

Awesome to hear Jeff! Thanks for the upgrades! I stay laser focused on the 1978 year. So it's easy for me to keep a raw set active. They aren't really ever done are they?

That early Christmas present arrived. Fantastic gesture for sure.
