I was lucky enough to recently purchase this crusty original trade dollar from a local dealers list of early offerings.
I'm very happy with the pickup.

Here are two others that I picked up from the same dealer, I think the three of them go good together.

The 1799 is absolutely beautiful...

Very nice, all 3!
I love the look of the Trade Dollar.
The 1799 is awesome.
I like the look of all of these coins. Wear, without any distracting hits. That’s a tough combination.
This one is in a PCGS XF40 holder:
Oh man! That’s the way I like em.
Wow, those are all keepers and best in class thanks for sharing. Seeing them I almost wasn't going to post 1 of mine, but fits the request for original crusty dollars.
Beautiful group and congrats on that newp, here is a close cousin to your 1841.

Very nice coins! The Trade Dollar and the Seated Dollar are both from the same collection that sold via Heritage originally. Hence the cert numbers being so close. I picked up a few from the same collection. The set was almost all original and CACd. Which is rare for a set of circulated Seated and Trade Dollars. Congrats!
Nice indeed.

Great Peace dollar Bryce.
That is the look I like, but they aren't so easy to find. Like you say it's hard to get smooth wear without heavy hits too.
The coin below is the closest I could find for a peace dollar but it doesn't quite make the look.
But for now, at least, it's what I have.

Based on the quality of the offerings and the pictures I can guess which local dealer you are referring to.
Great coins, congrats!!

Mine may not be 100% original surfaces but it's pretty close, IMO.

Lower grade than you typically find these, and nice and crusty.
Another one with a good layer of skin on it, picked up during travels around the Orient.
I like the look of all three of your new purchases.

Love all of these awesome dollars. The 1877 Trade Dollar has a special place in my heart. My grandfather was born in 1877 and carried an 1877 Trade Dollar as his pocket piece. I still have that dollar and would grade it F-15. One of my prized possessions.
Nice newp @JohnnyCache I think the Trade and the Seated really go together well!
Not new, and shown before, but here's a '41 that one that might fit the criteria

@scubafuel Oh man, I love those two examples, very sweet and the old holders are the cream on top.
I'm missing a flowing hair dollar currently but do hope to eventually find a nice one.
Thanks for sharing your coins.

My latest new purchase. I was lucky to work out a trade deal with CRO for her...
Love the coins in this post! All are really great looking. A big fan of Seated Dollars. A crusty example below of a tough date in the series.
@inspired70 love getting glimpses at your seated set !
Thanks! I'll keep my eye out for one. And you know I'd be happy to add that 1799 to the group if you ever find a better one
Nice coins!

My first ever Liberty Seated Dollar. Bought it in an ANACS small white slab graded XF45. Gosh, I wish I still had it. Broke it out of the slab to place in my first 7070 which I sold when completed. Slight glare on the holder obv.
