Anyone know how Justacommeman is doing?

JohnnyCacheJohnnyCache Posts: 1,796 ✭✭✭✭✭

I don't know Mark myself personally but I have always enjoyed his commentary and his coins/ skull tokens that he posts occasionally. I had noticed it has been a while since I last saw a comment from him. A quick check of his profile shows his last appearance here to be on Sept 1, 2020. With Covid and all, I was just wondering if things were well with him.
I hope so.

Me too. Have had some good chats with Mark over the year's via PM. A good man. Probably just on hiatus/taking a break.

Did you ever really leave? Your thread was more of an "aloha" thread with aloha idiomatically meaning both goodbye and hello in Hawaiian.

I was gone for 2 months. Not that it matters.

Yes, we are all family here. <3

Figured as much. I know that he has sold a good part of his collection.....That tends to kind of take the wind out of one's sails. I have always enjoyed his contributions. He has posted some great coins and he has a hysterical sense of humor. I wish him well and hope that he returns and can find new direction in his numismatic endeavors.

    Hiya!

I always take a few months off at election time to fulfill my civic duty. My employer is awesome about it. This year I'm going all through way to January. Got Georgia on my mind.

Thanks for all the kind comments and concern. You guys are awesome.

Jeff thanks for bring this thread to my attention!

JohnnyCache very nice of you for starting this thread.

Brian congrats on the baby. This will be your most expensive NEWP in your life. I hope the baby never ends up on the BST.

Walkerfan- while I sold off all the walkers, commems and toned type I've been quietly building three gold type sets. Still very much in the game.

Everyone stay safe. It's going to be a long winter. Signing off and see you in 2021!

    Happy Holidays!

    mark

    Nice to see you!

@Justacommeman I’m really glad to hear that you’re doing well and that you’re still passionate about coins. I had a feeling that you were interested in early gold, because of some of your most recent posts and purchases. When you get some extra time please stop in to see us more often. It’s not the same without you around. Take care.

So the naysayers aren't going to flag this as a political post??? I know if I posted it I would be lambasted off into cyberspace!

Brian, you were smart not to ask me for a suggested name for your new child. It would be a Central or Eastern European name that most would have difficulty pronouncing.

Such public displays of affection are unsuitable for our snarky forum! 😉😉. Where is the self discipline? The stiff upper lip? Soooo embarrassing.....

I wouldn't consider it political if he would have left off the last sentence in my quote.

Sounds like you're the "naysayer" here. He was explaining why we probably won't hear from him for another couple months, and he didn't endorse anybody. Why don't you chillax, dude?
