I found this a week ago on Amazon and did the PRE ORDER. It just showed up last week on my amazon so I was thinking they must be getting closer to release. Anyone pre order before last week?
In July I was told by Whitman that it was going to be the end of August, then that came and went. But the Amazon pre-order has listed September 22nd since at least late August. I've messaged, emailed and even tagged Dentuck on these forums but it seems he is too busy to participate or answer questions. It's good to be busy I guess. Hopefully September 22nd is correct. I also keep refreshing the following two web pages but nothing so far...

got an email from Amazon that looked like a phishing scam. It asked if I wanted to keep my order from March 2020. I went to their website and checked. I did order it in March.

Not a scam, but its been 45 days since the listed published date now. If it doesn't come out within the next 30 days, amazon will cancel the order and we will all need to preorder again. I've been on the wait list since early March as well.

You are correct, they cancelled it yesterday. When it comes out (12/15 is next week) I will just get one on eBay from a supply seller.

Mine was also cancelled today by Amazon. I hadn’t been able to find it offered anyway else, so thanks for the tip. As you suggested, I just completed my “pre-order” on barnesandnoble.com at $39.95 plus tax, but free shipping. While probably not the lowest price there will be, at least it’s nice and convenient, and now it’s done! Thanks for the tip!

My original order with Amazon, placed back in March, was cancelled on December 7th. As such, that day will live in infamy!
But I did not despair, I ordered it that same day from Barnes and Noble ("Of course, of course" if you remember their old commercials). Delivery was supposed to be by December 22nd. I spoke with them today, and they have not yet received them from Whitman. As my parents taught me, “Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.”

It's really odd to me that a reputable company this size cannot give its subscribers an idea of a release date. Or at least a "we have no idea as we have ran into unforseen problems that only time will cure". Something that will stop the preorders and cancellations and controversy. I have every one since they started printing them and will probably get the next release, but I am most certainly no longer excited about its release.

I ordered one from Amazon on April 30, 2020. On November 6th, they emailed me saying there was a delay. On December 7th, they emailed me and said that they canceled the order due to lack of availability.
On December 7th, I then ordered it from Barnes & Noble. On December 22nd, they emailed a $10 discount on a future purchase because my order was going to be delayed and not delivered by December 23rd. On December 23rd they emailed and said that it would be delivered on or around December 30th.
CPG 6.2 is still coming together as far as I know. I really don't know what role COVID has played in the delay. I do know that Larry Briggs is one of the editors now, and if you've ever heard him tell stories about his health, you'd be thinking that he's probably been living in a bubble since March.
If Larry's in on the mix I wouldn't count on it for at least another year!

Like @PwrHsePro, I pre-ordered on Amazon in the summer, got an email about a delay when the September release date came, then another one the following month, and then it was canceled. In early December, I also pre-ordered on B&N, got a $10 "sorry" gift card on Dec. 22, and it was just canceled today.
If it's delayed, why didn't they take down the pre-order pages earlier? And why have they not clearly stated anywhere official that it's delayed with a new expected release date? I emailed Whitman Publishing and they never responded to me. Tried again today. It's pretty frustrating.

Why preorder in the first place? Just curious. I've bought everyone since it originated and never had a problem getting one at a reasonable price from Wizard or even ebay.

True, but no real disadvantage either. Amazon does not charge you until they actually ship it. With Prime you get free shipping. My guess is pricing will be similar either way. IMO, pre-ordering or waiting is six of one, a half dozen of another.

Dentuck posted a thread yesterday for the first time in a long time. I tagged him and asked but he seemed to ignore me. He did respond to someone else on a different topic though and that person didn’t tag him. It seems these questions have been ignored for over a year. I’ve spoken with other people involved with the book and they don’t seem to know either and are just as frustrated.
