Do you have a special something you sip on while looking at coins?

AlanSkiAlanSki Posts: 1,925 ✭✭✭✭✭

Whether to buy or browse?

I do double shots of Tito's vodka. I end up with Stuff I wouldn't normally buy but then again, it's just money. Can't take it with me when I die.

Sometimes you'll catch me with some seltzer at my desk. The good stuff doesn't make it to my office.

Dr Pepper is my favorite and really pairs well with studying/browsing/buying coins.

Just some bubble water.... I save the Cabernet for meals or total relaxation - like reading, or watching the sunset...Cheers, RickO

Due to my recent round of kidney stones (10 mm stones on both sides, plus the agglomeration of smaller ones) plenty of water should be my drink of choice.

You might try some real lemonade. It can really help with those evil suckers.

As to the OP, I don’t eat or drink near my coins :) I also don’t drink alcohol so if I drank anything it would probably be water or soda.

I'm very random. Gin & tonic, vodka tonic, coffee with a liqueur in it, or even port or ice wine. More often than not, straight up coffee.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

I have gone with Tanqueray & tonic, Aguardiente Cristal, Tokaji, or just diet Dr. Pepper. On a couple of bad occasions, I looked for ipecac in the medicine cabinet, to no avail.

I've heard that the Vikings used to make major decisions twice: Once sober and once while smashed on mead.

I have to admit that I've made some purchases when I've been drinking. And I've never regretted one of them.

    Same here.
I also like to be stone cold sober when making any purchasing decisions.

Other than that, I have a pretty good selection of rums and tequilas available
for 'party time'. Currently the Kaniche XO and Doorly's 12 are my go-to brands.

Reading the heading too quickly the first time, I thought it said “ Do you have a special something you slip into while looking at coins?” So I hesitated to open the thread.

I'm also a fan of Belgian whites.

I do like the unfiltered ones, if that's what you mean.

Those are around 5-6% and delicious with some citrus.

Black strong coffee in the morning, water in the afternoon,
beer or scotch in the evening.
Lately Founders KBS has been my go-to beer.
The first sip is magnificent and subsequent sips just get even better.
    I love it...gotta be careful, it's 12% ABV...
A lot of coins look like a good buy after 3 of them.

  • mannie graymannie gray Posts: 7,259 ✭✭✭✭✭

I should have taken my own advice......just "accidentally" bought a coin I was watching....
Oh well, the Founders is still good... :D
