For those that are interested. Paul McCartney did write "Hello,Goodbye", but he also wrote/produced a song called "Goodbye" which was a hit for and recorded by Mary Hopkins, she of the hit single"Those Were The Days". Music class is now dismissed. :)

I will sort of miss him where he has 2-4 successive posts. It's as if he keeps thinking after he posts instead of collecting his thoughts first.

I had several chemistry professors at Berkeley who did things exactly the opposite way. He would have been quite a challenge for me as an instructor. I would have dropped him.

Is this the thread that precipitated this fiasco? https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1043051/how-to-price-toned-coins-cac-vs-non-cac/p1

I would be most impressed if you could replicate textile toning. If it is so easy, let's see it. I'm not going to say that it can never be done, but I would hardly call it "easy" or the number of textile toners on the market would explode.

He explicitly stated in the thread that if he could do it, he wouldn't show his work, but would instead just sell it. Quintessential @jmlanzaf gambit to insulate himself from ever being proven wrong.

Your departure would be noted by the absence of multiple threads on page one.

I counted 18 on the first two pages not so long ago. I wondered if the author has had a recent life altering change. Like a divorce or ??prison release?? Which could in fact be a divorce, lol.
I can not ever think of one thing to start a topic let alone 18. I thought maybe he was a mod who was trying to inject life into the forum.

My guess is that it’s none of those, but rather, an enthusiastic poster who has found a place to show and discuss his coins.

Plus they're not bad questions. Better than the usual newbie/first time poster.

I do agree that it would be nice to have a combined category for people to introduce themselves and also when they're taking a step away.

I don’t think anybody would debate any of this ( although the OP actually might) but there is an unwritten forum rule of when you leave just leave. No exit threads. Just tell someone you know that if anyone asks, “ I’m ok” and leave it at that.
