2020 Numismatic Book Of The Year

It was just announced a couple of days ago that my book, United States Classic Gold Coins of 1834-1839 was recognized by the Numismatic Literary Guild as the 2020 Book Of The Year, the highest honor that they bestow.
This is an absolute thrill and honor to be recognized in this way by the NLG. I am also humbled, and yet relieved, that my freshman effort, ten years in the making, has been well received by these numismatic authors that I have always admired.
And it is a little bit out of character for me, but I feel like crowing a little bit right now.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

No disrespect intended but how many numismatics books were published in 2020?
I don't know. You can ask the NLG, but I'd guess over 100.
Congratulations! That is quite an honor.
Great work! I've been meaning to pick one of those up. Congratulations Daryl.

i think my first post on this forum was about classic head gold. being familiar with the serious and it being one of my favorites, i will say thank you and kudos for this book. with such a short series, even for 2 denoms, for a book to be that thick, it must really pack a punch. hope to get to see a copy one day.

I know it was a long endeavor to include the great research of John McCloskey, while breaking ground on new research of coins, Mint archives, government correspondence, and the people involved with Classic Head Gold. Well done!
I got my copy earlier this. I’m really enjoying it.
