New 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar to Share

msch1manmsch1man Posts: 809 ✭✭✭✭

I've had my eye on this 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar ever since it was listed a couple weeks ago. I finally decided to pull the trigger this weekend and it just arrived today from Shawn Yancey. It's a B-1/BB-21 which is the most common variety of 1795 FH dollar, but I'm really not concerned with variety. I really like the look and original surfaces of this coin. I included a pic of her with her slightly younger Draped Bust sister from the same year. Just thought I'd share - comments (good and bad) welcome!

I love it! I'd also love to see the reverse of each coin. Oddly enough, I have a similar pair of early dollars from 1795 and I think they make a wonderful group.

So very cool. I’m a huge fan of these as well. They’re larger in diameter than other US silver dollars too. I agree with @TomB , please show us the reverses.

I can't imagine the feeling you have owning a coin that was circulating while George Washington was president. One day, if things go well, I will own one too. Congratulations and I hope it gives you many years of enjoyment.
