Very jealous! Was a big WWF fan back then AND a card collector. For some reason, I never got around to pursuing these cards. Much regretted decision.

I have 44 packs of 1966 Marvel Superheroes all in PSA 8 and 9.

The obvious choice would be my 86/87 Fleer basketball packs, but I have a soft spot for these too...

Cool. My 84 Topps Cello with Mattingly on top was one of my first purchases on eBay. I heard there is going to be an auction for an 86/87 Fleer case of 12 wax boxes in Aug. Looking forward to seeing how much that goes for.

UPDATE: That 86-87 Fleer Basketball case went for $1.8 million.

I collect the major sports too but I have always been interested in the none major sports. I picked up a few packs along the way. I ripped a few of each of these and haven’t got a single player I have ever heard of. Took a lot of restraint but kept a few sealed and these are currently at psa. Hopefully they will get slabbed

1977 Futbol Campeonato Metropolitano y Nacional de Futbol Argentino - could contain a disc of maradona

1978 Crack Campeonato Mundial de Futbol- first traditional card of Maradona

1966 Panini - Ali first panini

Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here

Have never seen any of these packs before. Really cool. I dont think the 3rd pack is real though. Crack didnt come along until the mid 80s.

Thanks. I had no idea they had cards for this movie. These packs must be hard to find. I hope you didnt have to kick anyone in the ovaries to get it.

I love threads like this. It’s amazing to see some of the packs you guys have. I especially like the 70’s packs and the Payton packs.

This isn’t my most valuable. And not much to others but means a lot to me and I don’t think I will ever open or sell it.

I’ve met Oliver a couple times and thought he was an under rated player. Murphy was always my favorite player, I grew up watching the baseball bunch and 84 Donruss is my 2nd favorite set ever. So this pack has a TON of sentimental value for me.

My most sentimentally significant packs are the 4 1988 Topps cello packs with commons on top that I have kept unopened in my collection for over 32 years. Of course, if I sold them, I would probably have just enough money for that #3 meal at McDonald's.

What can I say? 1978 clearly must have been my favorite year to collect trading cards. I was eight years old that summer, and I was collecting my first baseball cards, as well as 1977 Charlie’s Angels and Star Wars cards. Those were the days.

Love that 76 Tray pack. I have the other variation of that tray (the one that has the 74 wax wrapper on it). I have seen professionally graded packs naming this as a 74 tray. The 74 trays have a red top half of the tray in front and 3 packs for 10 cents as opposed to the 15 cents for the 76s. I mean, duuuuh.

Kiss cards were also pretty cool. Here's some of my non-sport packs. For anyone wondering, yes, I do have a Menudo pack and no, I'm not ashamed.

Some really nice packs in this thread!!!

I really like the vintage BBCE Rack Packs where the star player is on the bottom. It provides the guarantee of the star player as well as a "mystery" of what will the front of the card look like? Is it perfectly centered? Could it be a 9 or 10???

Looking at this pack is pure torture. You have no idea how many potential trades went through my head in about 8 seconds after I saw this pack. Mets fan for over 40 years. If you ever go through your collection and come to the conclusion that this is not your favorite pack, please contact me immediately!!!

Just upgraded my 87 Gooden Cello and decided to open the old one. I thought it was tampered with as it had 2 pieces of gum. But, somehow, I got the Bonds card, which would indicate to me it wasn't. Anyone ever see these packs with 2 pieces of gum? Regardless of this, the gum was 33 years old and aged to perfection!

Sweet. Finally someone else besides myself has a 76 Cello as their favorite (mine is Reggie Jackson, 1st post of the thread).

Speaking of Reggie, one of my favorites with his buddy on top.

You know what would be awesome, Tim, is if there was a cello that had Rose showing on one side and Ray Fosse showing on the other. :D

If so, Rose's card would be in mint condition, Fosses, poor.

You're looking at the front and back panels of a 1968 Topps Tray Pack. Picked this up on eBay about four years ago, and it's one of my favorites, despite being cardless. Funny thing is, I've never even seen a picture of a full 68 tray. Has anyone ever seen one? Or a 71 or 73?

For those of you unfamiliar with these packs, they consist of three wax packs all wrapped in a layer of cellophane. I'd love to hear everyone's knowledge and or experiences in regards to this type of pack or pictures, if you care to share.

Yeah, that's a sweet pack. Mark Murphy said in his old price guide that these go back to the 50's. The oldest one I've ever seen a picture of was a 1961 (sold for 12k a couple of years ago). Probstein has been trying to sell a 1964 Beatles tray for years. It also has a sell sheet for 64 baseball trays. A sleeve of 24 is pictured. Imagine if one of those popped up!
